King Kamala Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 When I was thinking of former Talk Soup hosts and about how all of them have gone to at least mild success. I forgot one- the longest host of them all John Henson. According to IMDB after Talk Soup he starred in a short lived Talk Soup ripoff on ABC and The Harry Connick Jr./ Johnny Knoxville vehicle( That makes me laugh everytime I write it) Life Without Dick. So where is the guy? I knew he wasn't going to be at Greg Kinnear's level, but I thought he'd be at least at Hal Sparks level. Dammit he should be at least hosting a third rate reality show, he'd be perfect for that.
Youth N Asia Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I heard about him getting a development deal with ABC. I've seen him on a couple of things, but nothing in a long time.
DerangedHermit Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 He was supposed to come out with a film he collaborated with Kevin Nealon. But that was back in 2001. I have no idea what the hell he's doing now. I liked him on Talk Soup (Greg Kinnear's the only Talk Soup host I hated). John Henson = teh rule, Hal Sparks = teh rule, Aisha Tyler = teh rule.
King Kamala Posted October 31, 2003 Author Report Posted October 31, 2003 I just found out that John Henson's ABC show lasted get this....one episode. Poor guy. Somebody give this man some work.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I saw him doing car ads a while back *shrugs*...
King Kamala Posted October 31, 2003 Author Report Posted October 31, 2003 John Henson probably never should have quit Talk Soup. A sitcom that lasted one episode, a supporting role in Life Without Dick, car ads....what's next...doing standup at third rate comedy clubs with Christopher "Kid" Reid and Screech?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Boy did Talk Soup sure tank after he left.

Celebrity Boxing, him and Hal Sparks...can you smell that? Its PURE RATINGS!
Bruiser Chong Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 How could you hate Greg Kinnear? He's the one who made Talk Soup the show it was by time Henson took over. Henson was great, too, and I always wondered what happened to him since he was leaving the show for something over at ABC. One of my favorite Talk Soups was the Christmas episode where John has Douglass Fern, the talking Christmas Tree next to him and it won't stop singing so he takes it out with a baseball bat.

Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I always liked the one about the alien with the dummy head and it'd run around beating people to death with it.
Nevermortal Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Wasn't he the host of Joe Schmoe? Â Well, he wasn't, but he damned sure looked like him.
King Kamala Posted October 31, 2003 Author Report Posted October 31, 2003 No that was Ralph Garman, LA radio personality and husband of ex-porn star Ginger Lynn. They did have a very uncanny resemblence.
Nevermortal Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Garman was married to Ginger Lynn? P I M P.
MDH257 Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 John Henson just did a comedy bit with The Rock on the GQ Men of the Year Awards.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 He may have made it, but John, Hal and Aisha perfected it. Please tell me you're joking. Hal wasn't that bad, but the show definitely went on the skids once John left.

Hal sucked for the most part, IMO, but even he was not that bad compared to the vacuum of unfunniness that is Aisha Tyler
