MrRant Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Comedian Dennis Miller (news), a regular on "Saturday Night Live (news - Y! TV)" over a decade ago, will return to the NBC fold to host a prime-time cable talk show starting next year. Miller, who won five Emmy Awards for his weekly series "Dennis Miller Live," will also serve as executive producer for the hour-long show set to debut in January on CNBC, the cable business channel, both sides said in a statement issued on Thursday. "With all that's going on in the world today, it's nice to have a nightly platform to air my opinions. I'm happy to be back in the NBC family," said Miller. Miller, who supported Arnold Schwarzenegger (news) in the action star's successful bid for governorship of California earlier this month, has been seen as a potential rising star in the state Republican party. "Having Dennis Miller return to the NBC family is one of the most exciting things to happen to us in years," said Jeff Zucker, president of NBC Entertainment. "His wit, uncanny takes on life and fearlessness have made him a popular figure -- and this is the next logical step in his brilliant career." Miller was a member of the commentary team for ABC's "NFL Monday Night Football" during a stint that ended last year. He is also a frequent guest on politically oriented talk shows. NBC is a unit of General Electric Co. while ABC is owned by the Walt Disney Co. ------------------------------------------------------------ I will be Tivoing this show.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 What happened with him and HBO anyways?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Wow, I might actually watch CNBC again. Wonder if this meand Kudlow and Crammer (sp?) are going bye-byes?...
NoCalMike Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 So will Dennis Miller keep up his supposed conservative conversion across the board or is he going to host a barrage of topics that will give him a more unique insight into things? For now I will stick with Ventura's show.
The Czech Republic Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 The dad from that one movie about the big St. Bernard that got into wacky capers (not Cujo) had a show on CNBC. Just thought I'd throw that out.

The Czech Republic Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I think they should've given the show to the dog. Perhaps even Cujo.
NoCalMike Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 Has anyone seen Ventura's show yet? I saw the first installment and I really liked it, but I keep forgetting about it, I hate when these shows are on the weekend which is the worst time to put them.
