Something I've always wondered...

Benoit was asked this question at an autograph signing in Halifax earlier this year. He said he lost it in Japan the first time he went over if memory serves me right. I believe he was reffering to 1986-1987ish.

In about 86 the Dynamite Kid was just about fed up with Benoit replicating his style and look, so he approached Benoit one night and punched him in the mouth knocking out a tooth, so there could at least be 1 distinguishing difference between the two.

True Story B-)

I thought he had all his teeth when he showed up in the WWE, but had the one tooth knocked out within his first year in the company. Maybe I'm wrong on that, tho.

Oh, definitely. I remember first noticing the missing tooth in a late 1995 issue of WCW Magazine.

I heard Benoit lost his tooth the same way Tony Montana got his scar.

\In tony Montana voice/

How am I gonna get a scar like that from eating pussy mang?

And, no dude it's not true...just me being a compulsive liar :P

Hogan stole it to use black magic so Benoit would never be able to Main Event full time. [/Hogan Hater]

I heard he lost it playing recreational hockey, but that's just hearsay.

That'd be funny if that was true. Like how Mick Foley lost his teeth from a car wreck.

During one of their feuds in a Japanese tournament, Chris Jericho knocked it out with a Dragon Punch.

...or maybe I got confused playing Here Comes the Pain back to back with Street Fighter Alpha 2. *shrug*

Only one man caused Benoit to lose his tooth. Who is this heinous individual? You guessed it...

Frank Stallone.

You are instantly the coolest person ever for that.

*bows to Kotz*

That was my favorite SNL gag...........EVER. I even used it in a paper at school. It was where we had to write a story and I was reading it to the class and at the end I was like....."So who was the mastermind behind it all? You guessed it...........Frank Stallone." Unfortunately only like two other people got it.........uncultured monsters........

Didn't he lose it AFTER coming to the WWF? In '01 or so? Maybe it's just me.

No, he's been missing it at least since 1995. Back when I was a young WCW mark back in 1996 we made jokes about it all the time.

Benoit answered the question about the tooth. I heard it with my own ears. He lost it in Japan.

I never noticed his missing tooth during his WCW tenure, but I just watched his Souled Out 98 match against Raven and yup, his tooth is missing.

Thanks again, Wildpegasus.
