Slayer Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 With it, Dave Attell. "So I'm sitting at a bar, and I see a cute girl sitting alone at the other end, and I'm thinking 'I'm alone, she's alone, why not.. annoy her?'"
Giuseppe Zangara Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 This is some wild fusion shit going on here, Inc. Its crazy. That was Can, a Krautrock band from the 70s whom I cannot praise enough. Check them out. Man, what woudl that be classified as? Its like latter-day Coltrane with with Zappa...or something. It has some jazzy elements, but a lot of what Can did was called "trance-rock." Read more about them here: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&u...l=Bdudkyl2jxpzb
Slayer Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I live in Saskatchewan, Canada.....must I go on? Say hi to Dave for me
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Can are one of those bands who have influenced most of the bands I love, yet I've never actually got round to checking them out. Have to get to hearing some of their albums.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I was comparing just the wild playing style to jazz...the lack of melody Coltrane used during Meditations. They seem pretty slick, I will check them out.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Let me put it this way, Banky: there are better, non-snowy places to live, some here in this state. Orlando, for all its theme parks and tourists, has a fairly happening nightlife, and gets a good amount of shows.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I live in Saskatchewan, Canada.....must I go on? Say hi to Dave for me I wasn't saying Jacksinville in particular, just the Florida area that would be nice. No icy roads, scraping car windows, oh, it would rule.
Nighthawk Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Florida rocks. I can walk around with no shirt and nobody cares. Oh, and Can rocks too.

Nighthawk Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 According to the website, he is, but he can answer for himself. I'm not his mother.

rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I'm digging that "Broken Social Scene" track. Anybody got any recomendations of other stuff they've done?
Guest The TRUE Fonzie Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 If dere social scene be broken, they need to let Fonzie step in an' take a a wack addit.
