Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Just like Romeo and Juliet The Skin is dead. 3 episodes and it got the boot. I guess they'll have to fill the void with When <random something> attacks or Celebrity Boxing
Zack Malibu Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Damn, before I even got to see one episode. They should have had it on Wednesday before The O.C.
Boner Kawanger Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Very nice, Plundering. I was worried this was gonna be some dumbass "they has teh forbittin romanse like R&J, d00d~!" thread. *Clap....clap...clap*
Mole Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Damn, before I even got to see one episode. They should have had it on Wednesday before The O.C. Yeah, that would of been a good spot for it. Wednesdays are just TOO crowded, though.
sfaJack Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I guess America just didn't care that HIS FATHER IS THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY!!!!!!!!!!
Youth N Asia Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I guess America just didn't care that HIS FATHER IS THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, after the 2,300th time hearing that in the ads I made up my mind that I wasn't going to watch it
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I heard that Fox moved the 2nd episode of Joe Millionaire from Tuesday to Monday, and on Tuesday The Simpsons and That 70's Show reruns will air before 24.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I hate Fox. Not that Skin was a good show, but they didn't give it a chanc at all. I thought the premise was pretty good, and the story would ave -playe out well, since ll R+J stories do. This is just another shown that Fox canceled due to it hnot imediatly getting great ratings. Somebody better tell Fox that you gotta let shows grow into their own niche. 5 Bucks says we ge a lame ass reality show instead.
the max Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Well, it's just exactly what happened to that show during the 2002 playoffs...what was the name of that? Girls Club? It got cancelled after like, 3 weeks. maybe people just get tired of the fucking commercials being shown every 12 seconds.

Somebody better tell Fox that you gotta let shows grow into their own niche. 5 Bucks says we ge a lame ass reality show instead. Don't be mad at just Fox about that. ALL of the networks do the exact same thing. You should instead be mad at Fox for showing those goddamn promos for Skin during EVERY SINGLE COMMERCIAL BREAK. That's why I didn't watch; their constant promotion of the show just pissed me off to no end and left me with zero desire to see the show, and I'd wager that thousands of other people felt the same way. Add that in with the fact that Fox, during the baseball playoffs, constantly crammed an extra Skin/Joe Millionaire promo in during commercial breaks, thus overlapping actual game action (i.e. they suddenly cut back to the game with the count already 0-1 on the hitter), and I was left one pissed off viewer. I actually wanted to see this show fail because of that.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 I saw the first episode. If my memory correctly recalls, the beginning was like ... Fastlane meets The Matrix meets Bulletproof Monk meets the most rockin' Papa Roach song ever. And then they all meet that girl's jerk boyfriend and his crew of yuppie hoods, so the guy and the girl have to split like bananas and meet (at) the diner. And then the rest is essentially me meeting between the sandman and a half-waking state that hates me for trying to finish the hour. I didn't think this would last for too long. The premise was pretty thin for a series, so sooner or later they would've had to look into some different directions. I couldn't see them being able to go full-focus with the romance past the first season without it being totally sucked dry.
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Frankly, I bet this show would have done better had it just been a straight crime and legal system drama about the DA and the porn guy, without throwing the dumb love story in that was completely predictable.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 I'm suprised it didn't last at least the season. The girl was very cute, the guy was a teeny boppers wet dream, and her dad was a porn king. On the last show I saw, a young girl was making the decision whether she wanted to do porn or not. I thought it was a good story. The supposed good guy (The district attorney) was actually an ass, plus cheating on his wife, while the supposed bad guy (The Porn King) was giving money to charity, keeping his daughter clean, yet using porn stars to secure business deals. It beats so much of the crap that remains on the air.

And thank God it got aborted before growing fingers and toes. Personally, I always wondered why that show got pimped during football -- not exactly a target audience for that show...
Corey_Lazarus Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I will never forgive Fox for cancelling Titus. NEVER. YOU HEAR ME, RUPERT?! NEVER!!!!!
Youth N Asia Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Titus was balls. I hated that show and was shocked it lasted as long as it did.
Vern Gagne Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I doubt Rupert has anything to do with what's cancelled and what isn't.
Guest Smues Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Someone told me Titus is being brought back. I hope that's just a sick joke, Titus sucked.
Mole Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 (edited) Tru Calling will probably be the next Fox show to get the ax. The first episode got a 3.3, last week a 2.8. Granted they stuck it on the toughest night, but they are appealing to 18-24 males, which is the smallest ratings demographic there is. Plus 18-24 males viewership is down big time this year. Hogan Made Wrestling Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I watched Tru Calling tonight. It was reasonably decent but the premise just seems a bit too cheesy.

I've only seen one episode because I have class 6-9 and always forget to record it. I thought it was a pretty decent show and not too cheesy. Well I am a BIG fan of Buffy and Angel, so cheesy I see all the time.
