BifEverchad Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Mike "Crash Holly" Lockwood's funeral will take place this Wednesday (11/12) at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, North Carolina. Visitation will be allowed from 6:30PM-8:30PM. Visitation will also be allowed from 6:30-8PM on Tuesday (11/11). Lockwood's widow, Christeena, stated the following: "I was devastated. I couldn't believe what I was hearing." She and Crash were actually seperated at the time. Crash was living with good friend Steven Richards. He was found dead in Richards' home. As for the cause of his death, Christeena said the following: "I know there are lots of things on the Internet about his death, but they're not true. And I don't want to say how he died because I'm afraid people will look at him negatively." Holly was set to work in Japan this January with Pro-Wrestling NOAH. He was also scheduled to start a trainer for Pro-Wrestling IRON later this month. CREDIT: 411

Papacita Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 "I know there are lots of things on the Internet about his death, but they're not true. And I don't want to say how he died because I'm afraid people will look at him negatively." I don't mean to sound insensitive here, because I can understand that she's grieving, but how is a comment like this doing anything to spare his reputation? All it does is breed more speculation about the death, and would probably end up doing more damage than if she actually told the causes of his death.

That is, if he died of something unnatural. But, choking on your own puke isn't exactly a natural death anyway. We can pretty much guess that drugs/alcohol or both are involved.

That would ruin his reputation but doesen't the Internet know that?
PLAGIARISM! Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Man, I don't log on for a few days and there goes another one. How old was he?
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Man, I don't log on for a few days and there goes another one. How old was he? I have heard 32 and 34, take your pick. Nevertheless, he was too young to die.

iliketurtles Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 No offense...but what does it matter with what we think of him? He's dead. And I don't know too many people who are 33 years old that die from choking on their vomit as a natural cause. It's like A + B = C...I think we can figure out what C is.

Until they release the autopsy report we won't know Seing as he was made unemployed from a dream job and probably recently seperated from his wife, suicide is a very real possibility.
Cran Da Maniac Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 The funeral is gonna be about 30 mins from my house. I'd like to go myself, as I always enjoyed Crash's work, but I doubt I would. I'd rather not go and be star-gazing and everything, cuz that'd be really inappropriate.
Guest Basswitch Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I think we can all rule out steriods. It might have been suicide, or an overdose. It will be released eventually. Anyways, wrestlers are dying way to young. First one of the pitbulls, then hawk (although he was older.. he was still relatively young), and now Crash Holly. Its a fuckin shame.
syxx2001 Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 This thread is the reason people like Triple H complain about the internet.
2GOLD Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 From what I can tell, if she doesn't want it revealed then I hope it never is. His family should have the right to keep it secret, whether it was natural causes or something else. The man is dead and it's really none of my business how he passed on.
Papacita Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 From what I can tell, if she doesn't want it revealed then I hope it never is. His family should have the right to keep it secret, whether it was natural causes or something else. The man is dead and it's really none of my business how he passed on. I agree with you there, but she could've worded it differently, or just flat out lied and say she doesn't know how he died. Saying "I don't want people to think negatively of him" pretty much casts Crash in a negative light anyway, perhaps even moreso than if she'd just revealed the cause of death, because it plants an idea in the reader's mind that it was something bad. Again, I don't mean to attack her given the situation, but I just think she gave a really bad answer there.
Guest acnx Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 He was 32. Here's another article... Salisbury wrestling school founder dies at age 32 I think that quote is sort of out of context, because she said this right afterwards... Instead, she wanted people to remember his sense of humor. "He was the biggest goof ball," she said. "He was so funny walking up and down the ropes, doing things to make you laugh, and telling corny jokes." To those who knew him, the way he was on television was his real personality, she said. To others he didn't know well, he acted very quiet, she said. And really, who cares how he died? That won't change anything. He's still dead, his daughter is without a father, and his wife is without a husband. Why is it so important to know how he died?
syxx2001 Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Really. Or to instigate and act like you know it all.
