BifEverchad 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Would it have hurt them to say something or have a graphic for Mike Lockwood? He worked for that company from 1999 - 2003, he held the Tag Team Titles, the European Title, the Cruiserweight Title and most memorable, the Hardcore Title. JR and the King could have at least acknowledged his passing. Hopefully they'll do something or at least, SAY something on SmackDown! Thursday.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Will this be like Thesz where the backlash from them not doing it makes them doing it thus making it look even cheaper?
Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 What the hell does WWE care about Mike Lockwood? That didn't surprise me one bit. Just another name on the long list of people whose blood is on Vince McMahon's hands. -Patrick

I've known you for a while now, PB (I remember you from AOL) and I never thought you were this thoroughly out of touch with reality. Vince didn't kill anybody. He didn't kill Owen. Nobody else's death is his fault. This is like blaming a record company for the deaths of Jimi Hendrix et al. -=Mike

I care. Also, I'm not whining, I'm just relaying a topic on his passing and showing how WWE didn't even acknowledge Crash's DEATH. He was a former employee. It doesnt matter what "brand" he was on anyways. He last wrestled on SmackDown!, yes. But that shouldn't make ANY difference. He was still a former WWE WRESTLER. (EX) Mr.Perfect died and was acknowledged on BOTH brands, even though he was last on the "RAW Brand".
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Vince didn't kill anybody. He didn't kill Owen. Nobody else's death is his fault. It was Vince's idea for Owen to do the stunt. He should have known what the risks were. Had he not told Owen to go through with it, Owen would still be alive. Therefore I hold Vince accountable for what happened. Simple as that. Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Jesus Christ. "Another in the long list..." I've known you for a while now, PB (I remember you from AOL) and I never thought you were this thoroughly out of touch with reality. Here, some of his gems that indicate so: Even the least of TNA shows is better than your average WWE show nowadays. Tonight on Confidential: The Suck-Up-To-Bret Tour 2003-4 continues as WWE pays tribute to Stu Hart.... Depends on how much they feel like sucking up to Bret this week. Since when does anything in WWE have a point? Since never. I am not permitted to enjoy WWE's product under any circumstances. Poll: How will you spend your spare time now that the U.S. wrestling scene is officially deceased? ... AT LEAST IT'S NOT TRIPLE H. For that reason and that reason only, TNA will ALWAYS be better than WWE. Okay, anyone who orders No Mercy(or any WWE PPV for that matter) is: a) an idiot b) a retard c) insane Two days later... Hey, this PPV sounded really good. Will need to get the tape of it. I'll stick to my own group: The "Anything But WWE" group. Can't the guy just TAKE A FUCKING VACATION? Take a plane trip...preferably a plane with a bomb ... ...good?...Raw is not good...Raw is never good... "Raw" and "great night" do not belong in the same subject line. Had he not told Owen to go through with it, Owen would still be alive. Therefore I hold Vince accountable for what happened. Simple as that. I thought it was Russo's idea. Doesn't matter either way. It was an accident. Sting came down from the rafters every week and nothing happened.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I don't know how'd they handle doing a tribute to Crash, when they had the Women's Title program (Molly/Lita) so entrenched in the show. You'd have to keep within kayfabe, and pull Molly from the show. From the SK rant... And wouldn’t this have been a good point to note that Molly’s storyline cousin, Crash Holly, is dead? RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 "I am responsible for Owen Hart's death" - Vince McMahon, in court (credit: Lord of the Ring, Stu Hart's bio) C'mon, he badmouthed HHH, of course they're not going to recognize his life and death. Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Perhaps they are afraid that someone will start to fucking CARE and start to take notice about what's going on if they have an "In Memory" thing before every show. With the way WWE thinks, that could be it if they don't say anything about the guy.

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I think real deaths take away from their soap opera direction. You can't go giving somebody a memorial and then kill/seriously injure somebody in the stroyline right after. I'm not agreeing with it...just giving an idea
