Word's going around that Inoki has singed Takayama vs Cro-Cop for the PRIDE New Years Eve show.

Man, after that ass-beating that Crop-Cop got from Nog, I'd fuckin hate to be in Yoshi's boots during this fight.

Maybe it'll be like Yoshi/Frye, except, ya know, with kicks.

Nog did dominate Cro Cop after he took him down, but the entire first round was Cro Cop beating the stuffing out of Nog. Had the round not ended just just as Nog was knocked down by the high kick, Cro Cop probably could have pounced and hammered on him for the refferee stoppage.

It was a great win for Nog, but let's not make it out to be something it wasn't. He got punted all over the place for ten minutes before getting any real offense.

Japanese fans should have a good time watching Takayama get his face re-molded again. Should be fun.

And what happened to Cro Cop/Barnett? Is that out the window now?

The Observer said that this isnt final,Takayama has said he will fight on new years eve for who ever offers him the best deal.

Inoki's show has nothing to do with Pride. There are three shows on new year, the K1 show,a Pride show and the Inoki show.It doesnt matter what Pride or Inoki put on as they will both come second to the K1 show.

I don't think he would've finished him off. Nog looked ready enough to hold him in the guard, and when he *thought* the match was over, he was complaining because he was still ready, as he was. It wouldn't have ended. After all, the beatings he took from Sapp and Fedor showed that he has no quit is pretty much impossible to be knocked out, at least in my humble opinion. I might however, be a tad biased.

And yeah, what everyone else said about Takyama getting his ass kicked. You can call it warrior spirit, but if you just keep getting the shit kicked out of you, what's the point?

I might have to watch it again. However, it seemed that Nog was, at the very least, stunned, which would give Cro Cop the chance to lay in the lefts for the ref stoppage.

At the very least, the break allowed him to recover from the high kick on top of all the other punishment he took.

Nog wasn't stunned. He seemed to gain his composure fairly quickly and he tried to get Cro Cop in the guard so many times in the round that Cro Cop would probably have been reluctant to try it again.

Of course the break allowed him to recover. He would have still recovered since he would've held Cro Cop in the guard and stalled for a bit, although that's admittedly speculation. But as it is, the whole purpose of changing the round is for the guys to recover anyway ^_^

Man that emoticon looks stupid.

Nog went straight to "guard position" after getting hit and his eyes were on Cro Cop - so he was still "in the game". If Cro Cop went in for some GnP he probably would have gotten caught in an armbar or triangle had time not expired.

But Nog was getting fucked up in that match. He took some left straights that broke Sapps face. He took some liver kicks that broke Herrings ribs and dented Silvas. He took a highkick that KO'd Vovchanchyn... the man is just not human.

Cro Cop vs Takayama has been comfirmed.

Full card so far,

1. Kazuyuki Fujita vs. TBA

2. King of Pancrase Openweight Title: Josh Barnett © vs. Semmy Schilt

3. Yoshihiro Takayama vs. Mirko Cro Cop

Posted

Looks like a good card so far. I kind of want Barnett vs. Waterman eventually.

I like Fujita, he needs to fight Coleman or someone like that at the Bom-Bay-Ye.

Sure it might be boring, but their takedowns and takedown defenses might cancel each other out and force a stand-up brawl. Though I could see Coleman taking him down and not the other way around.

Cro Cop will slaughter another pro-wrestler, this time Takayama.

Barnett and Schilt will probably end up like last time.
