Guest Corino 1000 Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 Am I mistaken, or is Samoa Joe's "Choke Sleeper" just a normal sleeper hold? I've only ever seen it once, and I couldn't tell the difference. Besides that, as I understand it, your basic sleeper hold IS a choke, technically, so it's kinda redundant. I believe its a bare naked choke. I've only seen it once too and it was on Paul London in his going away match.
The Metal Maniac Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 That was the exact same match I saw it in, oddly enough.
Guest Corino 1000 Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Can somebody explain to me what the chemical imbalance is, all I know about the move is that it is Delierious finisher in Gateway wrestling.
LucharesuFan619 Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 The Chemical Imbalance I is a 360 Degree Slam. Not sure how else to describe it. The Chemical Imbalance II - there's two ways to describe it: Inverted Pumphandle Lift into Inverted Storm Cradle Piledriver or Armlock Storm Cradle Piledriver. Ric Blade used to do a variation of it.
Guest Markingout Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 The Chemical Imbalance in easier words is Delirious pulling his opponents arms under their own crotch. Delirious is standing behind his opponent, so once he takes the arms, he pulls up causing his opponent to land right on there spine/head. Â Lucharesu: I am on the Rockin Rebel boxing match on the Retribution tape, so one more match till Blackout vs All Money is Legal.
LucharesuFan619 Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 Lucharesu: I am on the Rockin Rebel boxing match on the Retribution tape, so one more match till Blackout vs All Money is Legal. Sweet, sounds great. Thanks again for doing this.
Guest Markingout Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 The "Dime Drop", and "Thug Passion" were not in the match. Â Paid in Full: K-Murda has Sabian in a Gory Guerrero Special. Then K-Pusha comes, and takes Sabians head while its still in the GG Special. From here Pusha spins to the side, and drops him face first. Â I found a move you might want in the match. "The Stickup" is Murda has Ruckus in the corner, he gets him up in a double underhook, and lifts Ruckus up. From here Pusha, grabs Ruckus' legs and applys a boston crab while Murda still has him in butterfly suplex position. Â The "Dime Drop" or "Thug Passion" might be when Murda slingshots Ruckus into the corner, but when Ruckus is about to hit his head on the buckle, Pusha jumps off the ropes with a somersault neckbreaker, and drives Ruckus down onto Murda's knees. Eric Gurigullo called this is the "Stickup", but later in the match he corrected himself. So I don't know what this move is. Â The match I saw was a tag match vs Blackout.
LucharesuFan619 Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 Hey Markingout. Thanks a bunch for the info. Just so you know - I think we got a little mixed up along the way or something. I've seen the AMIL vs. Ruckus/Sabian match, so I got all the stuff listed in that match already (except for the Butterfly/Boston Crab move, so thanks a bunch for that). What I haven't seen is the Four Corners Tag Team Match between AMIL, Rebels Army, CKNY, and Nick Berk & Z-Barr from a few months back. That's the move where apparently they used the Thug Passion and Dime Drop. Do you, or does anyone else, have that match? I think that's where they use those moves. I've seen AMIL/Ruckus & Sabian though. Sabian was green, but he had a lot of potential, and overall it was pretty good. Thanks again.
Guest Markingout Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 No problem for doing. Its just too bad we saw the same match. Did you e-mail the guy who wrote the review? He probably knows. Â Right now, I think Sabian sucks. He is constantly lost between spots. He dosen't show much charisma, I just hate him naturally. Plus his look is horrible. He looks like a 5'3 black rat.
LucharesuFan619 Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 No problem for doing. Its just too bad we saw the same match. Did you e-mail the guy who wrote the review? He probably knows. Ya, I talk to him on IM every other day, pretty much. He just calls the movies what Gargiulo calls them on the show, because he's so bad at naming moves himself. So for a Blue Thunder Driver, he'd simply say something like "a Sitout Powerbomb." So, he has no idea. I still enjoy reading his recaps, though.
Guest The Ultimate Fantasy Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 What is the Kryptonite (sp?) Crunch?
LucharesuFan619 Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 Same thing as an air raid crash. Stick your head in between a guys legs as if you're gonna get powerbombed and then stand straight up, lifting them onto your back. Use one arm to hold their leg on your shoulder and use the other to tuck their head under, and then sit down. There's a ton of good pictures of it across the internet. Someone will know where to find a good pic.
Lightning Flik Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 Canadian Back Breaker Rack, into a running Sit-out Dominator (with arms bridged while hurling them up and over). Â That's my current finisher in the SWF, and I just was wondering if there was an offical name for this or something.
LucharesuFan619 Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 Sounds like The Snuff Bomb that Gary "TOOL" Key used as his finisher in XPW, only he did a non-running version.
razazteca Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Has AJ Styles ever finished the Styles Clash as a driver like say a tombstone or tiger drivahhhhhhhhh?
Guest Markingout Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Has AJ Styles ever finished the Styles Clash as a driver like say a tombstone or tiger drivahhhhhhhhh? Yeah, and it almost killed Frankie Kazarian. This happened on a TNA show in the summer of 03'. Kazarian didn't tuck his head back, and then just all of AJ's weight landed on Kazarian's head. Really nasty looking, Karazian wasn't injured though.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 That was sick. To bad the name Styles Clash 03 never picked up for it. Next time he fights one of the crazy spotkateers (as Raven calls them) he should bust it out again, this time on perpose. Â Uh, what is Jack Evan's Ode to Blitzkrieg?
LucharesuFan619 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Full Corkscrew (360 rotation) Standing Shooting Star Press followed directly by a Full Corkscrew Moonsault Splash.
AnonymousBroccoli Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 This came up in the Velocity thread. Jamie Noble hit a double-underhook power bomb on Paul London, which Josh Mathews called a Tiger Driver. I've come to know a Tiger Driver as a double-underhook pile driver, for example Jay Briscoe's J-Driller, or Kid Kash's Money Maker. Since the move Noble used is power bomb-ish, I'd usually call it a Tiger Bomb. But someone said it was originally called a Tiger Driver. Â Here's the thread in question. I was just wondering if anyone could lend some more insight into that whole situation.
Dace59 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Tiger Driver = Double Underhook Sitout Powerbomb. Â You can also do a Release Version as Noble does. Can be called a Tiger Driver Whip. Â No such thing as a Tiger Bomb(Styles used to miscall Sitout Powerbombs as Tiger Bombs in ECW this is where the name came from). Tiger Driver is the gimmick name for it sine Misawa used it as Tiger Mask II (IIRC) (Note, the Original Tiger Driver of Tiger Mask I was a Facelock Suplex) Â Monkey Maker/J Driller = Double Underhook Pileder. Different move. The J Driller is NOT a Sitout Tiger Driver '91 or anyversion of a Tiger Driver at all.
The Metal Maniac Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 See, what gets me is, TECHNICALLY, I think that a Tiger Driver '91 should be called just a Tiger Driver, while a Tiger Driver should be called a Tiger Bomb. Â After all, the Tiger Driver is a bomb-type move, while the TD '91 is a driver-type move. Â Damn gimmick names...especially gimmick names that become THE names.
Dace59 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 The TD'91 is a Kneeling Sheer Drop Double Underhook Powerbomb. It's still a 'Bomb move. Â It's just a gimmick name that's stuck, like Northern Lights Suplex (Shoulder to Belly Suplex). Â Personally, I think Tiger Driver sounds fair better anyway.
AnonymousBroccoli Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Tiger Driver = Double Underhook Sitout Powerbomb. You can also do a Release Version as Noble does. Can be called a Tiger Driver Whip. So you hold the double underhook into the bump, instead of bringing your arms up around the waist?
The Metal Maniac Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Yeah, Tiger Driver does have a better ring to it. Â I dunno though...I always figure that driver moves are ones where the guy lands on his head (of course, that doesn't cover ALL head-impact moves, but enough of them to use as a catch-all, methinks) so I'd call it more of a driver then a bomb...but then again, if memory serves, the terms are almost interchangeable in Japan (death valley bomb and northern lights bomb both being examples of moves where someone lands on their head, yet are called bombs) so I guess it's too confusing to matter that much. Â Bottom line, damn Misawa for not being less confusing.
LucharesuFan619 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Last Free Voice - P.S.: By a moonsault, I don't mean a top rope one. I mean a standing one, off of the ring mat. Forgot to clarify that.
LucharesuFan619 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Last Free Voice - P.S.: By a moonsault, I don't mean a top rope one. I mean a standing one, off of the ring mat. Forgot to clarify that. Â And ya, Joey Styles called every Jerry Lynn sitdown powerbomb a "Tigerbomb," when there doesn't sound like there's even such a thing.
Dace59 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 There differnetly isnt such a thing as a Tiger Bomb as I've said. Â And Metal Maniac, the terms Driver and Bomb are not interchangable in Japan. They're just two gimmick names that dont fit the Westner pattern of gimmick techncial names. There's probably some routed language thing in there as well that you wouldn't be able to pick up on.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 What is Chris Hero's Shades Of Jhonny Saint?
LucharesuFan619 Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I think it's some kind of wacky reversal sequence that he does, one of those things where he spins around the guy and goes through his legs and stuff like that. May be wrong, though.
