AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2003 The title says it all. Any solutions? It's been running pretty damn slow lately, compared to its normal lightning quick load times. Now the load times are more like my old dial-up service.
Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted November 21, 2003 I have heard (not experienced, mind you) that occasionally DSL modems get "conditioned" to the AC power they are plugged in and this causes it to slow down. Don't know why or how, but I've heard this. The solution is to disconnect your modem for an hour or so from power and let it reset itself. Like I said, never experienced it, but I read it somewhere shortly after I got my DSL connection.

MrRant 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2003 Steps you should take: 1. Clean out your cache and cookies 2. Unplug modem from power and turn computer off. 3. Plug power back to modem and when the lights go back to normal for your modem then start up the computer.
