The ME's going to be the HHH match, assuming he's still able to walk by that point. Not saying this to be typically smarky or bitter or whatever, it's just reality. The guy's considered the #1 star in the company at this point.

 

If they do wind up doing the Benoit/Lesnar feud, he's not going to win the belt. It's just to take up time between now and RR, where they'll likely wind up setting Lesnar's Mania opponent.

Shawn/Rock. Hands down...The masters of working the crowd and they each can bump like crazy...Angle is HORRID at playing the crowd.

 

Angle is injured and he can't sell for shit...Shawn was always best being the one taking the bumps...Angle doesn't have that ability to have that kicking the shit outta somebody...

Angles can be created...You seem to have this mentality that if the match doesn't involve a Title...it's a mid card match...Jericho/HBK didn't have a title and it wasn't a MID CARD match...All Eddy/Angle would need is a angle.

Jericho/HBK had a four month build and an excellant story.

 

They want to run Angle/Eddy? The only acceptable thing is to start a feud NOW. And since I can't possibly think of anything between them would legitimately cause a feud to last four months, plus you need to blow off Eddy/Chavo, plus Angle can't wrestle until mid January. The earliest could start was February.

 

And the only time I think a big time Mania match (or is really just another ho hum match?) could have less than three months build is if a title is involved. And THAT ain't happening.

Since Edge has dropped a THOUSAND not so subtle hints that he's headed to Raw...

 

He will only have a month to really get a program going...So I have to say go with someone he is already familar with IN the ring and has a history...That would be Matt Hardy or Christian.

 

I'd would also be a nice wink to WMX with a "brother/brother" match

Wow, we were really close with this.

 

I still say team him up with Xian as the surprise partner (rather than trying to build up interest in a match between the two at the biggest show ever with three shows of build up)

 

Just let him get back in his groove so they can assess what he should do with him (i.e. if he's heatless or slow and plodding or something he's not locked into a title feud. Not that that has ever happened like say, at X-8)

No but It's a wink to his debut in 1998 and it's not like Yokozuna was a Surprise either.

 

I don't think he would have to worry about being heatless since he was pretty over before he was injured and if Billy Gunn can stay over for a month, Edge shouldn't have any problems doing so.

But, of course, if edge comes back at the beginning of March, you have maybe 3, 4 weeks to build a match for the biggest show ever

Another problem. The first Edge/Christian feud was, how shall we say, a disaster, mainly because we were never led to believe that Christian was ever any kind of threat to Edge. Both Edge and general storyline caused that. They'd have to find a way to rectify that.

Well, they could get the ball rolling without having Edge actually even be there. Just have Bischoff saying how much he's trying to steal more Smackdown talent by signing Edge. Christian can be shocked/angry, and work from there.
