HBK/Jericho had a good story, but the execution of that story was lacking.

It's interesting how alot of people say they hate shawn and yet they still want to see Shawn Vs "THIS GUY"...

 

Why is that? Is it because Shawn can still one way or another put on a show (as he showed Last sunday) or is it because so many people are influenced by him (not so much Benoit)...

 

It seems that people are still, even a whole 18 months since he returned people still want to see him in the ring...

and it's not to really "save" Lita...But to get his brother to stop being an asshole...Remember Edge is the "older" brother here...If they had enough time they would have the American History X sell here where Edge tries to convince Christian that Being an Asshole and treating people like shit is wrong and that He has learned from his mistakes and wants to teach his brother that.

You know, an Edge/Christian feud can be easily put together.

So Bischoff comes out after RR (with Christian coming off a big win, even have him survive late into the Rumble match) and announce that when Bischoff got Matt Hardy's contract, he also got another Superstar to come to RAW. However, since that man was injured and still recouperating, Eric held off the announcement until he was ready to come back.

 

That man is Edge, who gets the usual "welcome back" ovation. Edge cuts a promo promising the fans he's going to be better than ever, yadda yadda yadda, and Christian comes out. Instead of welcoming his brother back, Christian goes off on him, saying "You came to RAW just to take all the attention away from me, like you've done since we were kids" and the like. It finishes with X attacking Edge viciously, focusing on Edge's neck, and hitting an UnPrettier on a chair to finish the segment. They can build off that until Wrestlemania, where they could go one of two ways in the match:

 

A) Christian works on the neck, but Edge manages a Herculean comeback and beats his brother.

 

or B) Christian works the neck, Edge tries the comeback, but Christian takes advantage of the injury and beats his brother into submission (with some cheating thrown in)

Eventually turning heel is fine...but returning as a heel? That just doesn't gel well with me. It's always better to have someone returning from a career threatening injury to come back as the heroic face, who faced all adversery and conquered it. Practically every wrestler who has had serious injury has came back as a face, with the exception of Benoit, and it's worked great.
