Spaceman Spiff Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 From TVShowsOnDVD.com The Reapers will be coming for....your wallet when MGM releases the first season of this great show on May 4th, 2004. The show aired on the Showtime network, and just finished its Canadian run on TMN and Movie Central. It involves Georgia, Rube, Betty, Mason, Roxy and Daisy, a group of Reapers who grab souls right before the poor person dies. If you enjoyed 6 Feet Under, chances are you'll love this show. Unfortunately all we have is the street date, but we hope to get more information in the next few days. Can't wait.
Youth N Asia Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 If you enjoyed 6 Feet Under, chances are you'll love this show. That's a far far stretch. While I like both shows they're nothing alike. I saw the first 10 episodes and missed the last 2...I was moving durring that time and lost Showtime. Price pending I might pick it up.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 3, 2003 Author Report Posted December 3, 2003 Yeah, I don't get that either. Aside from people dying, the shows are nothing alike.
eiker_ir Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 great, i love the show and it's dark kind of sick humor
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 May....still a couple months away.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 16, 2003 Author Report Posted December 16, 2003 Also, according to Showtime's website, DLM will rerun starting Friday 1/2. It only has the schedule up through the end of Jan. (1 episode each Friday), but it is the 1st 5 episodes in order, so I'm sure they'll rerun the entire season. So, here's your chance to catch any episodes you missed, or turn some other people on to the show.
BlackFlagg Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Cool, got hooked on this show right away....will be nice to actually view it on a television though, heh
HarleyQuinn Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Sweet, just caught the 1st episode yesterday since I started from the 2nd ep on(Cool to see how George got her room & such)
A Happy Medium Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I think I missed the last few episodes, when I didn't know when it was coming on. Or maybe I have seen them all. I worship this show, and everytime I order a patty melt I think of the kickass scene with Rube as the cook. Now...is the show canceled now, or are they putting out the first season to gain support for the second? Either way, the dvds are mine.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 17, 2003 Author Report Posted December 17, 2003 It's already been renewed for a 2nd season (15 episodes). I think new episodes will air in June or July.
