Latest On HBK's WWE Schedule

Posted By Ashish on 12.03.03

How often will he work?

Shawn Michaels has now agreed to work three house shows per month, as well as whichever TV tapings and PPVs WWE asks him to work. He will now face Ric Flair at the 12/12 house show in Madison Square Garden.

Well, after getting paid for 4 years of sitting on his ass, I'm glad Shawn now feels the need to get back on the road. Can Jesus Boy ignore all the temptations the road brings?

On a serious note, I'd be far more likely to attend a house show if HBK was on the card.

At least unlike Nash, Hogan and the others...He doesn't half ass it on House Shows.

Hogan and Nash didn't "half-ass" it on just house shows - they "half-assed" it everywhere.

Michaels, on the other hand, used to be the main proponent (along with Bret Hart) of taking it easy on house show matches and "turning it up" a couple notches for TV and even more notches for PPV.

I too, am glad to hear this. I've noticed he's wrestling alot more on TV now than before and always enjoy his matches.

I don't know about this because of his back. Wasn't the whole point of the shorter schedule to keep his back in reasonable shape so he can go a little longer?

Then again, Shawn maybe has a year left in him so I guess it makes sense to lay it all out for the end.

Bret stepped it up?

Funny...He LOVED the art of restholds when he came to my town.

Shawn however...Whoa. I saw him make a ***1/2 match out of TOM BRANDI!

I get the feeling HBK is going to stay around longer than a year. He will probably stay around until his hair loss becomes even worse. Since deep inside he probably still has that HBK ego he will not be able to take that public humilation.

After seeing Shawn on Survivor Series (I obviously loved the guy before, but still), I want to see him wrestle as much as possible.

I know some didn't like it, but his work in that match, the entire angle with Austin...all of that, it made me want to see him stick around WRESTLING, for as long as possible.

That match was one of the highlights of the year for me personally.

I can't think of ONE person who didn't like it...

Shit, even Barron liked it.

I know a few people in "real life" that didn't like it...more than likely because they are new fans or something. I also talked to a few online who didn't like it...or at least didn't see it as special as I did.

But yes, most people did like it, even HBK haters.

Shawn is an expert in ring psychology. He's right up there with Raven in terms of it.

A lot of people wondered why they couldn't have used RVD or Book in that position and it's simple: I don't think they would've been able to tell have a story the way Shawn did. I don't think the crowd or the people sitting at home would've rallied around them like they did Shawn.

I don't like Shawn Michaels the person and I hope one day he screws up his back again- but I will say that he is great at making his matches exciting

Or why don't you just wish he keeps putting on good performences?

I mean he hasn't caused any shit since he returned...Not ONE incident of politics or egomania...

Before any one goes "WMXIX. Jericho." That was Vince's move not Shawns.

And I'd Actually say Shawn's a little better then Raven because Shawn can pull the psychology in various matches, Brawls, High flying matches, mat matches...

My quickie top 5 Psychology workers EVER.

1. Jake Roberts

2. Arn Anderson

3. Bret Hart

4. HBK

5. Foley

I agree with that 100%, and I'm happy to see that your hatred for him doesn't cloud your vision from the truth. :D

Anyone who thinks that RVD or Booker T could've done the same angle, as great as HBK did, needs to fucking wake up and stop smelling the bullshit. Neither guy is as great as HBK, neither guy could've have done that angle.

I'll refrain from commenting on the last part of your post, heh.

Yeah I'm sure he was holding Vince hostage to get that win back...

Why is it that we assume that it's getting a JOB back?

It's the STUPIDEST term in the fucking business.

I mean...It could 7 years later and you'd idiots would still say "he got his job back"...

At first I was pissed that they couldn't use the angle to elevate someone else. But then as I kept watching it and getting more into the match and thought about it more- I realised that there were few people who could've pulled that off other then HBK

I wish more people would just stop worrying so much about what goes on backstage, all of the politics, and just watch the shows and take them as what you see on your TV.

I promise that it wouldn't hurt, and at the same time, you'd be able to enjoy many of the matches so much more. :D

In The Raw roster...

Only Shawn and Jericho I think have the ability to sell that emotion.

Besides, how much sense would it have made to have a Booker T or an RVD in HBK's place? The entire deal with the back story to what was going on wouldn't have been there, the Austin/whoever thing at the end would've been pointless.

HBK was the perfect choice.

With Raven-

Raven's one of the few people who I have been able to actively get into his matches. He's not one of my personal favourites (I don't even think he's that good) but I remember watching his feud with the New Church all summer and actively rooting on and getting excited when he was about to win.

That's why I love his match with AJ Styles

What REALLY annoys me is that these idiots ALWAYS assume that if someone loses a match...there's always a catch behind it.

Why do they INSIST that every match is some sort of political war to see who goes over...

IWC tend to make it out like HHH has an portable calender with a

JOB RETURN CHECKLIST.

Booker- Check (2)

RVD- Check (3)*

Kane-Check (1)

HBK-Check (2)

Jericho- Check (8)**

Rock-Check (2342)

Austin-Check (5)

Ultimate Warrior-........

*Bury. Heat returning.

**Bury. Upstaging again.

Triple H can be a very effective heel. I remember actively hating the man (in a good way) in 2000 and wanting Rock, Foley and Jericho to kick his ass.

Don't forget Flair Choken One
