Guest Just J Report post Posted December 7, 2003 This has to be the best animated show ever. With that being said I thought this would be a good time to start a JL thread. The past two episodes have been great. And as a whole the show has taken Batman TAS and Superman TAS to great new heights. I'll chime in more as you guys post your feelings on the show. Guest JMA Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Tonight's episode was great. Especially the ending. People are already buzzing about it on the DC message board.
Guest Just J Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Last week's episode was pretty great too. I would like to say more but I'm really not sure what I should <spoil>?
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Spoil ahead. I really liked last night's episode, too
DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Last night's ep was great. I loved how they used the Teen Titan voice actors as the Royal Flush Gang. And of course Mark Hamill did another awesome job as the J man.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 LOVED last night's episode. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): OMG @ Hawkgirl not only unmasking but finally kissing Green Lantern. I found it great when Harley nailed BATS, I wasn't expecting that. Also the trend with Harley getting her ass kicked by Joker continues *sigh*. Sort of hoping Harley would nail J but oh well. I totally dug Ace's character the most though I also liked the motivation behind the black guy(King?) wanting to show that he was stronger then Superman and not caring at all about the bomb. Also loved the slow-mo of Flash getting rid of the bomb. Can ya tell I loved this episode? Heh...

Oh and this show is great, but I can't honestly say it's better then B:TAS. It has none of the atmosphere, the music isn't as good, and the villains are a bit sub par in comparison. But it's still really good.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 She doesn't "enjoy" it which is what most people assume. It mirrors the marriage abuse cycle in that the abused continues to go back to the abuser in hopes of either them changing or just out of hopeless love. Heck, Harley admitted to Batman in this episode that they have gone to "couple counseling" so it's not the fact that she likes it, but rather that she just takes it. Harley's bemoaned her situation numerous times(Mad Love comes to mind when she begins to recount the tale of how she met him and Harlequinade when she tells Batman that she doesn't think Joker is the right guy for her). She also seems to be very clingy to him and very possessive of his attention(As shown in Joker's Millions when Joker tries to find a new woman to replace her). Wait... why would Joker go to couple counseling? Wouldn't he just kill everyone there for a laugh? Also, does it strike anyone else that Joker honestly doesn't give a damn about Harley and his only real attachment to her is that she's someone to play jokes off of? HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Yeah, Joker's used her merely as a pawn and as an aid. Although I think in the end, Joker needs her more then Harley needs him as Harley is capable of teaming up with others(Ivy) however most everyone despises Joker so without Harley he's basically doing everything on his own(Thus his needing a new "Harley" in Joker's Millions). They only make like 6 or 8 a year and they spread them out pretty good, so you do get plenty of chances to catch up. I never watch cartoons anymore unles it's Spongebob, Scooby, or Dora The Explorer, I have a three year old. My wife actually watched most of the episode last night but she doesn't like my little girl watching although she does anyway, it's not "girlie" enough. My child won't grow up without knowing who Batman and Superman are, I don't care if she is a girl or not.

Yeah, but Joker's more effective and dangerous on his own than Ivy and Harley are combined. He's Batman's arch-nemesis for a REASON. I love Harley to death, but to state Joker needs her in any way to be an effective character is ridiculous.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Oh, and has anyone else noticed that THREE posters in this thread have batman Villains as their handles? That's pretty sweet.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I agree that Joker is very effective on his own, obviously moreso then Harley/Ivy combined but Joker relishes the fact that he has a hand to help him out, just makes his job easier. Although Joker's far more effective without her, Harley is the one who does the minor deeds for him. Examples include the perfume on the banker in The Laughing Fish, keeping watch over Catwoman in Almost Got 'Im amongst others that aren't coming to me right now. razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 The Main Man Lobo's voice from last week's episode did not sound right to me. This week's episode was like a World's Finest TAS if you will. Batman & Superman should hold down Flash as he brings nothing but a quicky spot then it back to the love fest that is Supes & Wonder Woman and Green Latern & Hawkwoman. EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I like the Flash and I wish they would do more with him. I'd love to found out how he got his powers compared to his comic book self. What can I say I'm a speedster
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Batman should hurt his leg, come back 40 pounds heavier, and become the HHH of JL. Oh and I can't wait to see them do Tower of Babel. David Warner is the man.
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Last week's Justice League episode ranks up there with just about any of the best BTAS episodes I've seen. HIGHLY, highly recommended viewing.

David Warner is the man. Are they going to? I'm a mark for Justice League too though I just don't feel as much for the charactors in it like I do in some of the other top animation shows. Still a great show however.

AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 back to the love fest that is Supes & Wonder Woman Whaaaa? Wonder Woman wants some of that Dark Knight action, not the overhyped pretty boy. As for the show itself, these last few eps have been great as I continue to be impressed with how CN is handling JL and the Titans. Here's to them keeping up the good work. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 8, 2003 New episodes? When did those start and what day are they originally shown? They should advertise them during Adult Swim, since it's largely the same audience.

But last week when Superman was sent to the future by the giant toy robot, Wonder Woman was all emotional about his "death".

Guest Just Looking Report post Posted December 8, 2003 Quick question: Which character is voiced by Phil Lamarr (formerly of MAD TV)? I played softball with him this weekend, so now I'm curious. Thanks.
Guest Joe_G Report post Posted December 8, 2003 Phil Lamarr voices Green Lantern. Can't believe there's just the Christmas episode and the three part "Star Crossed" finale (which sadly, won't feature Starro. But I was jazzed to learn Killer Moth~~ is appearing on an episode of Teen Titans next season). This season has just been uniformly excellent and huge leap over the first one.
