NoCalMike Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 What do you think? From Lennox's standpoint, he really has nothing to prove I guess, however the pay day would be huge as the public pretty much thinks he finally has a worthy opponent, and maybe he wants to "ride out onto the sunset" on a better note......... So do you think this fight will happen? Vitali definately looks ready.
Gert T Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 You're exactly right. It is going to come down to how much money it will take for Lennox to put his legacy on the line. Remember 10-15 years from now, not everyone will have seen the fight or remember Vitali was leading, just the visuals of the assualt on his face. If he gets enough zero's, Lennox will fight, and if he is motivated (Rahman re-match) he could dominate, but since he still has the title he may not be that motivated. And even then Vitali may be able to take it.
lomasmoney Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 lewis would need about 45-50 million for the fight to happen
1234-5678 Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I think a win is a win in his mind. He'll retire, although he may come back for a big payday against Roy Jones Jr.
CanadianChris Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Jones won't fight him, because he knows he has no shot. No knock against Jones, but Lewis is just too big and too good a puncher for Jones.
Cartman Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 He's afraid of Vitali because he knows he was gonna get beat if not for the severity of that cut.
Youth N Asia Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I wish he would fight Byrd. The heavyweight division is the shits right now, but it'd be nice if he'd fight the guy already
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 That fight would suck. I think it's sketchy that Lewis will fight Vitaly again. He won the first fight by beating the guy bloody, even if he was down on the scorecards. On the same note, he was down on the scorecards, and Lewis is a bit of a perfectionist. He's beat everyone he's ever fought. Klitschko has absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain, is in the best shape of his career, just DEMOLISHED sacrificial lamb Kirk Johnson to eradicate any doubt that he's the #1 contender, and he still smells blood (his own included) from the first bout. Personally, I think Klitschko will beat his ass.
King Kamala Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Chris Byrd Vs Lennox Lewis would be a sucky, droning boring fight. I fucking hate Byrd, but if he fights anybody I want him to fight Vitali again, just so Vitali can prove he's the #1 contender. Still I'd prefer Vitali Vs Lennox Lewis
