Renegade Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 What was up with Kenny dying? Been a while since I saw that. Well the "You killed Kenny" joke got stale, so they only use it when there is a good reason. What was the reason again?
Guest netslob Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 I love the return of Scott. What a dick. hmmmm...a Canadian named Scott whose a dick...why does that sound familiar?
Guest El Satanico Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 I believe Scott The Dick was a Terrance & Phillip thing. Kenny only dies on special occasions now, because Kenny always dying got incredibly stale. Hopefully Kenny won't return this time, but if he does I hope they bring him back in a new form. I think Kenny as a ghost could work well. Just don't make Ghostly Kenny a regular, have him only appear when the episode involves him.
razazteca Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Have Kenny take off the hood would be a good start.
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Why? Part of Kenny's appeal is that everything he says is muffled by the hood, and if you've seen the movie you know what Kenny looks/sounds like...
razazteca Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 (edited) The Kenny character needs to expand to beyond the poor kid who mumbles and wears a hood. But I rather that Kenny does not return so the show can focus more attention on the other supporting characters. Kenny is holding down Jimmy, Timmy, Token, Butters, Tweek, Dougie, Clyde, Wendy. Guest JMA Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 "There's no Canada like French-Canada!"
Guest El Satanico Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Kenny becoming a reoccuring character would be best. It would pacify those who bitched about kenny not being on the show and would keep Kenny from being around too much. Kenny becoming a ghost or his family winning the lottery and moving to Denver, would be good ways to make him a reoccuring character.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Who was the little british kid? I forgot and is he still around? I haven't paid much attention to the last few seasons.
razazteca Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Don't need Kenny just replace him with a rotating cast of extras like they did during the season after his "disease death". It was a great season as it was the year of Butters, Dougie, Jimmy, Timmy getting time to develop their character. As Butters & Dougie became Prof Chaos & Gen Disarray, Jimmy did his comedy bit and Timmy basically did what Kenny did which was talk in a way that only the kids could understand.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Of course we don't need Kenny, but if they totally get rid of him the Kenny fans will whine. Last time they whined enough to get M&T to bring him back.
Ravenbomb Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 okay, say they get rid of Kenny. What happens to the third verse of the South Park theme song?
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 They replace it with something by whoever replaces Kenny.
Ravenbomb Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Yes, corey, but the third verse has no lyrics. It only ever had lyrics in it's first incarnation, and its lyrics were really dirty so only Kenny could say them. Now it has no lyrics at all.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Kenny could stay in the intro. OOOR They could have someone else do it, but have them interupted before it got dirty.
razazteca Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 What the hell was with the weird crying, though? Was it in reference to anything? Cartman crying like a little bitch is symbolic of the way the USA govt has been bullying the world. The second someone stands up to the bully and fights back the bully cries for mommy. Cartman is a capitalistic piggy. uh, i think your reading too much into it...he cried like that because he's a 9-year-old who just got popped in the mouth...and it hurt. But Scott is a patriot.
JHawk Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 okay, say they get rid of Kenny. What happens to the third verse of the South Park theme song? They'll do what they did when there was no Kenny. "Timmy Timmy Timmy Timmy..."
Ravenbomb Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Timmy is nowhere near as prominent as he was when they originally put him in the opening. Definitely not enough to be in the opening again.
JHawk Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Then maybe have Jimmy stutter over the original lyrics until it's time for the final line?
The Amazing Rando Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 I like Kenny... i don't know why... but I also like the other "B-list" characters... though sometimes Butters annoys the hell out of me... Tweak was always a favorite for some reason
Guest Eagan: El Asscracko~! Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 From SouthParkStudios.com: Q: On another site they've posted what Kenny supposedly says in the beginning of season 7 episodes... "One day I'll be old enough to stick my dick in Britney's BUTT." Is that it? Thanks. A: That is the not so completly offical answer from Matt Stone! When I told Matt that it was about a year since the first episode of the 7th season, and that him and Trey had promised to tell the fans what he said. He replied that he couldn't remember. Thankfully I had asked another Staff Member (Mr. Keef Bartkus) he had said that what you said was the new phrase. When I asked Matt about it he was 95% sure that it was correct. He also said he'd double check on it, but that probably will take some time, so for now, we're going to say that "Someday I'll be old enough, to stick my dick in Britney's BUTT" is the correct phrase that Kenny mubles in the 7th season.
Ted the Poster Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Then maybe have Jimmy stutter over the original lyrics until it's time for the final line? "people screaming howdy n... ne... n-neigh..." Hahaha! It could be a whole episode. Although Jimmy's best line was in the recent Goth episode: "Wendy, Stan says you're a cont... a cont..." Seriously though, Kenny has always been more of a supporting cast member to me. I mean damn, he's only been the basis of about four episodes while Stan, Kyle and Cartman have each had like ten. Oh, and why was the Newfoundland guy talking about sodomizing his sons? Is Newfoundland like the USA's deep south? Will somebody Canadian answer this please?
k thx Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Does anyone know what the episode number of the goth episode was, or it's proper name?
razazteca Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 714 Raisins 10th December 2003 Conformist
Ravenbomb Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 You actually answered his question. Uber conformist
Vern Gagne Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Seriously though, Kenny has always been more of a supporting cast member to me. I mean damn, he's only been the basis of about four episodes while Stan, Kyle and Cartman have each had like ten. Agreed. Let Kenny stay the 4th member of the group, and let the supporting players shine on their own. Does anyone know if their rerunning last years Christmas Episode, with Jesus and Santa fighting the Iraqi's.
