Michrome 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 With Jericho turning face, doesn't this seem like the likely route? Other than Austin, Foley, or Rock, who could realistically main event Wm with HHH other than Jericho?

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 When has Jericho shown any signs of turning face? All I see is a guy who really wants some tail. I'll believe he is turning face when he stops beating the hell out of Lita. Plus Jericho as the face at Wrestlemania against Triple H? Come on, the WWE didn't believe Jericho could face Triple H without Stephanie so what makes anyone really think they will put him in against Triple H now? Guest Jimbo Report post Posted December 16, 2003 HHH will be going face soon himself to fued with Orton, so I doubt that would ever happen....

Other than Austin, Foley, or Rock, who could realistically main event Wm with HHH other than Jericho? I actually thought about this after watching Jericho. But lets be honest here, the company wasn't pleased the last time they fought at WM, and it isn't gonna happen again.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 That's because Hogan / Rock overshadowed it and blew the roof off. Personally, I loved the attack on the quad on the last RAW / SD to show that Jericho had a chance of winning.

Yeah and remember the was word that the WWE was pleased with Steph and said that she saved their WM match. Hmm I wonder who started THAT. EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Personally, I loved the attack on the quad on the last RAW / SD to show that Jericho had a chance of winning. Yeah but, it was to little to late. I mean he didn't do that in all the time leading up to it and I doubt anyone thought Jericho had a chance to win after the way he was booked in the feud. I mean there was so much they could have done with that feud. THey could have had Jericho bring up that he was the one that hurt HHH quad and put him out of action. And I remember when time they had an interview where HHH said that Jericho never beat him. That would have been a perfect time for Jericho to say "Yes I did" and to pull out the footage of his win that never was for the world belt against HHH on RAW. But, they never brought those things up. And you know HHH had a hand in that cause they would have made him look bad and Jericho look good and we can't have that. It was with this feud I began to hate HHH and really see for the first time all the crap he was pulling backstage.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted December 16, 2003 HHH's match with Jericho at X8 was pretty good - is just that it followed Rock/Hogan. I could dig Jericho as a face going after HHH - I remember that impromptu match in 2000 where Jericho 'won' the title - if they can recapture any of that magic, it would be great. Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Yeah. I marked out when Jericho won the title, even though HHH reversed the decision. Too bad they can never think of doing something as surprising as that anymore, and capture some type of magic. The type of surprises we get now are heels winning without cheating. When was the last time that happened?

I was totally hearbroken over the buildup to that match. I had been the biggest Jericho mark and I was so excited that he was going to have this awesome opportunity to headline Wrestlemania as the defending champion, and based on HHH/Y2J from Fully Loaded 2000, I was expecting an epic battle. Instead we got hardly any interaction between Jericho and HHH leading to the event. If I hadn't known better, I would have guessed the main event was HHH vs Stephanie McMahon, with her butler, Chris Jericho. That was when I lost my faith in WWE. I remember this one week Jericho was over in Japan wrestling and wasn't on the RAW or SD!. Now instant of sayin that Jericho the world champ was wrestling oversea making the belt seem important what was the reason they gave for Jericho not being there? Steph had sent Jericho, the world champ, out to find her some lotion so that's way we didn't see him that week. Really nice way to treat your champ WWE. The WWE never once treated Jericho like he was the champ and that is the biggest reason why he didn't get over as a champion (the other reason was that they put him through a really forced heel turn). The concept of Jericho headlining 4 consecutive pay-per-views felt strange because he was never treated like a main eventer on the shows. It was as if the WWE title had been suspended so Jericho could walk around with some "Undisputed" championship while he was carrying two belts with him. It was awkward and I felt bad for Jericho the entire time. I did mark out when he yelled at The Rock before the Rumble though. It was something like "I am not a joke! You will not look past me you son of a bitch!"
