Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I got some new dvds this weekend Hall of fame 04 (birthday present from my dad, because Best Buy was sold out of the ECW dvds-actually I have yet to find that dvd anywhere) ), WreslteMania XIX (cuz I didn't have a copy of it-and I had every wm on tape already so I wanted to complete the collection), then yesterday I went to circuit city to see if they had ECW, but they didnt) so I picked up The Steel cage 2 disc set from last year (why not- has some good matches on it) and also the wm xx dvd (only because circuit city had it for only 19.95-since I had it taped from ppv already) non topic related, also got the new theme song cd/dvd for my b day too) For those who haven't seen the HOF one, give it a look. The ceremony itself is great fun and makes you really nostalgic. Bobby Heenan is absolutley hysterical during his acceptance speech (in which he goes on and on for like 20 minutes but it never gets boring) Heenan accidentally said WWF so they actually bleeped out the last letter on the dvd (oh god) so in response heenan goes off on the world wildlife fund Well in keeping with the topic Wm XIX-Crack Addict kept intact (all i know so far since I haven't actually watched much of the dvd yet) lots of extras like wwwe stars favorite wm moments, tv spots, press conferences, the entire wm 3rd degree special, build up to hogan-mcmahon, and the heat tag title match between kane/rvd vs morley/storm, as well ast the heat segment of nathan jones being taken out (great acting there Nate-you aren't missed) sadly they didnt include cena talking smack to carboard cuots of rappers. looks like a good dvd, but hard to find in stores now(best buy had 1 copy left, prbably been there since last june) WM xx has already been covered alot on this board, but I will say I am pissed that they cut out The Ultimo Slip and Slide, as well as the dubbing of stacys and victorias and dudleys themes, (its a wm dvd for gods sake, get the rights for this one at least) and what they think there are no fans out there that havent heard about the crowd response to berg/lesnar? anyhow the extras are good, cool wm trivia thing (though I have ssen at least two errors already-one a q asking how hilbilly jims two midget partners at wm 3 were, and there is no correct choice, only little beaver and henry godwinn (wtf?) which apparantly is the right answer who knew?) cool gallerrys of the previous wm with photos, match results, and little factoids. the cool mania of wrestlemania xix special and the 10 greatest wm matches hosted by flair btw was there a heat match prior to wm xx? cuz the dvd has dudleys vs storm/venis from the previous weeks heat on instead (the match where the duds earned the final spot in the 4 way tag title match at mania) Well best buy said theyd get a new ecw shipment in soon so Ill have to go back again damn

res37618 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I guess I'm probably the only loser on here that buys every WWE DVD, except for the Diva crap. What can I say, I'm a completist, I guess. Got them all since WrestleMania 15, and will probably continue to get them. My wife is amazingly OK with it, I guess because I let her buy all sorts of makeup and clothes and shoes and crap. The way I see it, my DVD collection takes up MUCH less space than 50 pairs of shoes. DeepDiscountDVD usually has them so damned cheap, it's hard to resist them. They've already got a preorder up for all the PPV's through WrestleMania 21, and they're all $13.48 each, free shipping - except for WM21, it's $16.18. WAY cheaper than all of the competitors, including Wal-Mart. Sometimes you have to wait about a week or so after the release date to receive it, but hey, I'm a patient guy. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2005 Okay, well I left off at SSeries and haven't got any other DVDs since then besides WM 21 and there's already a few dozen or so threads saying what's on it so I won't post it. If anybody would like extras being featured on NWO, Backlash, JD, GAB, and Unforgiven from this year, it would be most appreciated since I won't be getting any of them anytime soon. So here are my newest acquistions for now: Royal Rumble 2005 "Find The Real" is kept intact. No Sunday Night Heat stuff so no Shawn Michaels interview. Also the Royal Rumble commercial with McMahon waking up after having the West Side Story dream is not there. Extras: Commercials for the Royal Rumble, the Casket Match, the World Heavyweight Title, and the WWE Championship matches The JBL / Kurt Angle / Big Show Build-up The Royal Rumble 2005 Build-up Cena congratulates Batista after the Royal Rumble Theodore Long offers Batista a contract The HHH and JBL Interviews from RAW (1/31/05) Vengeance 2005 No Sunday Night Heat stuff included so no Carlito interview, no Kurt Angle interview, and no SHIT Vs. The Heart Throbs Also, another weird one, there's no commercials for any of the matches for the PPV like there usually is on these DVDs. Christy Hemme's theme is edited. Mudvayne's "Happy" is kept intact. There's a recap video of the whole event after the PPV ends featuring the song ala WM (which answered my question of why the song wasn't used in the Batista / HHH build-up since that I found that strange because they usually use the PPV theme song for the main event history video). I attended this PPV in person so I don't know if this recap video was shown on the live broadcast or just something they added for the DVD. If anybody can confirm this for me, thanks in advance. Extras: Vengeance Press Conference 6/21/2005 - They actually included the whole thing rather than the lame 3 - 5 clip job they usually show on RAW or SD of whatever PPV, but it ends right before they get to the Q & A segment which is a shame. Lillian Garcia Interview Chris Jericho & Christian argue HHH shown being helped out of the ring after the PPV - He got a standing ovation Batista confronts HHH once last time after the PPV John Cena, Shawn Michaels, and Hulk Hogan Vs. Chris Jericho, Christian, and Tyson Tomko from RAW the following night
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2005 SummerSlam 2005 DVD extras: Shawn Michaels On Larry Bling John Cena "Right Now" Music Video The Next Night On Raw... I don't own these, but I watched them with some friends a while back: Great American Bash 2005 has the Flair vs Sting match from WCW GAB 90 where Sting wins the Title. I always read this was a good match but I was really underwhelmed. Some vignettes with the bWo. Unforgiven 2005 has the 8-man tag match from next night's RAW: HBK, Show, Cena and Hardy vs Edge, Masters, Snitsky and Angle. Terrific, hot match. Sorry if I miss anything, this is all from memory. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2006 ^ Yeah, with SummerSlam above, no match commercials and no Sunday Night Heat stuff either (no Orlando Jordan interview, no Kurt Angle interview, and no Chris Masters Vs. The Hurricane match) No Mercy 2005 Shinedown's "Save Me" has been edited over with WWE's "No Mercy" theme. Extras: Simon Dean Buys Cheeseburgers The Ortons look into The Undertaker's Casket Theodore Long confronts Eric Bischoff Survivor Series 2005 POD's "Lights Out" is kept intact. Extras: Maria Interviews Vince McMahon / Survivor Series Moments Theodore Long is congratulated on his win / Shane McMahon meets The Boogeyman Kurt Angle and Daivari in the WWE.com Instand Access Room Armageddon 2005: The only extra sadly is The History of the Friendly Tap, which is a compilation of clipped segments of APA beating some fans, The New Age Outlaws, and Kaeintai over the years. Also the segment where Vince came to Stone Cold asking for his help against the Alliance as well as APA getting invited to TFT for a gay party only to get jumped by Billy and Chuck. Yeah, lame especially since they're clipped, ugh. And as the other thread stated, if you purchase this at Wal-Mart, for whatever reason, you get Armageddon 2003 with it for free. Not a great PPV, but hey a free DVD is a DVD right?

Not a great PPV, but hey a free DVD is a DVD right? They probably just need to get rid of the backstock, lol... WWE's not stupid, they know when they've released a bad PPV. Doesn't stop them from airing them, but still...
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 Royal Rumble 2006 Still no Sunday Night Heat stuff and no promotional stuff and I'm not sure if there was a theme song for the Rumble, but if there was, its not there. Ashley's theme is edited to some generic rock music. The RR commercial featuring the McMahons is absent from the DVD. Extras: The Kurt Angle / Mark Henry Build-up Video RVD and Tatanka smoke a pipe Past RR winners - A compilation of all the Royal Rumble endings from 88 to
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 Royal Rumble 2006 RVD and Tatanka smoke a pipe They're REALLY, REALLY stretching for ideas now, aren't they? Past RR winners - A compilation of all the Royal Rumble endings from 88 to 05 I guess this could be good, unless they're one minute jobs.

pochorenella 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 It's been quite a while since WWE put any extra matches on PPV DVDs, and I think that sucks. The last one I think was on the Unforgiven DVD with the 8-man tag from RAW (quite a great match IMO.) Come on, WWE! At least give us the Sunday Night Heat matches! pochorenella 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 Give us the aftermath from the RAW or Smackdown after the PPV! The last DVD to have THAT was the SummerSlam DVD, which had the Cena vs Jericho rematch in clip form, and the aftermath with Jericho being fired and Kurt Angle jumping on Cena. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 I need to know more about this Tatanka RVD pipe smoking. Rob Van Dam introduces himself to Tatanka, but Tatanka cuts him off and tells him that he doesn't need an introduction because Tatanka knows who he is. Tatanka explains to RVD that in his Native American culture, when two strangers come together, they smoke a peace pipe. RVD tells Tatanka that they do the same in his culture. The two proceed to chitchat their way off camera to smoke a peace pipe.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2006 No Way Out 2006 "Deadly Game 2006" is kept intact. No SNH or promotional stuff. Randy Orton's image used for the NWO poster has been completely replaced by the Angle / Undertaker staredown from SD for the DVD cover. Its not even on the back of the DVD slip or the front of the DVD itself. Poor Orton. Extras: - Mark Henry confronts Batista (Expect this feud to continue once Dave gets back, UGH!) - Booker T & Sharmell talking about their loss - Post Match Kurt Angle Interview
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 New Years Revolution 2006 Extras: - Mickie James approaches Trish Stratus leaving the Arena. This ends up with Moolah and Mae Young greeting Mickie with a mistletoe in hand. You can figure the rest. Kinda funny. - Kurt Angle and Daivari react to the finish of the Elimination Chamber Match. Of course Angle is pissed. Not much to this. - Carlito reacts to the Finish of the Elimination Chamber Match. Pretty much same as above. - Todd Grisham interviews Edge and Lita. This was shown on RAW IIRC. This is where Edge announces he and Lita will have sex live on RAW the next night.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2006 Backlash 2006 Edit: Forgot to mention that Danko Jones's "Baby Hates Me" is kept intact. HHH's "Long Live The King" image used for the poster has been completely replaced by Cena / HHH / Edge and HBK / McMahons image (its on the Backlash t-shirt) for the DVD cover. Its not even on the back of the DVD slip or the front of the DVD itself. Its too bad, I thought it was a cool poster. Extras: - The McMahons go to Church (RAW - 10/04/06) - Triple H Post Match Interview - Joey Styles and RVD in the back - Joey Styles and the Spirit Squad (RAW - 01/05/06) - Joey Styles and Jerry Lawler physicality (RAW - 01/05/06) - Joey Styles quits (RAW - 01/05/06)

Not only that but it's due for release in shops on May 29th.
