Guest JJW Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 In this weeks issue it says that the wwe has asked for him to lose his mask. Any thoughts?
Guest Fook Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Horrible idea. He hasn't been on tv in forever, so the fans won't see this as a big deal because they have no clue who he is.
J.B. Buzzkill Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 ...As Ultimo goes down the WWE crapper even more...
Repo Man jr Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 I dunno if its such a bad idea, Velocity could use a few storylines.
2GOLD Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Please tell me the Dragon can say no and get released. Cause this is just a joke. Dragon without the mask is just random Japan guy that the WWE can screw up more.
Nevermortal Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Dragon should pull a Nathan Jones and just quit next time WWE goes to Japan.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 That would be one of the worst ideas of the year. Dragon isn't one of "their guys" who they can book however they want and not worry about ruining his career because WWE is all there is. Ultimo has a real career and a good one in Japan and Mexico. The Management doesn't have any place to ask him to lose the hood.
Guest Corino 1000 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 I dunno if its such a bad idea, Velocity could use a few storylines. A few storylines ok. But Ultimo taking off his mask......Hell no! I mean its Ultimos mask. Jesus this sucks!
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 This is bullshit. Ultimo Dragon has never taken off his mask, and he shouldn't have to unless it's on his own terms. Obviously someone doesn't understand how important the mask is to a masked wrestler.
Guest StevieNightHeat Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Ultimo lose his mask?....but he wouldn't be Ultimo Dragon without the MASK! can't they have Mysterio lose his mask instead?
Guest wildpegasus Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 In this weeks issue it says that the wwe has asked for him to lose his mask. Any thoughts? I think Vince is trying to overtake the WCW in stupidity since WCW has already fallen by the wayside buisness wise. Knowing that it wasn't him that drove WCW out of buisness it bothers him to no end so there's only one thing now that he can do which would make him better than the WCW. Show he can run a more idiotic promotion and crush his own organization's throat like a paper cup underneath someone's foot. Chew the remains up, spit them on the ground and than bury the WWE with dirt.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 If WWE force Ultimo Dragon to remove his mask, I will never watch their programming again.
Guest wildpegasus Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 If WWE force Ultimo Dragon to remove his mask, I will never watch their programming again. I said the same thing when Mr. Perfect beat Kerry Von Erich for the title by cheating and when Bigelow slipped on a bannana peal in the Survivor Series. And I'm still here as that only lasted for a few months or so. Just when you think you're out, you get pulled right back in. Curse Benoit. Curse Eddie. Why couldn't you have just stayed in Japan? Why? Why? Why? Why? ****Cries**** -----Was able to avoid most of the horrendous Attitude era----
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 It's like an addiction... you just can't get rid of easily.
DerangedHermit Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Can't they have Mysterio lose his mask instead? You sure?
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Why don't they have Hurricane lose his mask... I love him and all, but he probably could go for a gimmick change of some sort.
Slayer Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Can't they have Mysterio lose his mask instead? You sure? Point noted Plus after how they played up the importance of the mask on the DVD, while ignoring all of the maskless ReyRey era in WCW, I'd say they're not gonna do that anytime soon Provided you actually believe that
Steviekick Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Ultimo without the mask is ridiculous. It's part of his character. This makes me mad...
deancoles Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Juvi did quite well after losing his mask, but he's more charismatic than Ultimo.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Does anyone actually believe this news? I sure as hell don't...
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Juvi did quite well after losing his mask, but he's more charismatic than Ultimo. But his mask wasn't synonomous with his gimmick, character, and legacy like Ultimo's has.

But his mask wasn't synonomous with his gimmick, character, and legacy like Ultimo's has. If you believe everything that's ever been said about the legacy of masks in wrestling, the mask is a definitive and tangible extension of the wrestlers themselves
Lil' Bitch Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 I really hope Ultimo tells them to fuck off. This is ridiculous.
razazteca Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 It's pointless if Asai can't speak english.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 How do we know he can't speak English?
razazteca Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Has he ever done a promo on Velocity or Smackdown?
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Has he ever wrestled over 5 minutes on Velocity or Smackdown? Just because he hasn't cut a promo, I guess that means he only speaks Japanese and Spanish to some of you.
