Steviekick Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 I was wondering if this happens to anyone else. On the bottom of many of my t-shirts, there are these little tiny wholes that I have no clue how they wound up there. Does this happen to anyone else? I think it may be the result of wearing one of those metal studded punk belts. Anyway, what's the best way to mend the shirts?
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 I get random tears in the armpit...although my White Zombie shirt that had these random tears IS 5 years old...meh. Awesome shirt, even sleeveless (got sick of the tears, so I cut the sleeves off). I'm guessing they're just from wear and tear, and the studded belt ain't helping. Just leave 'em be, or tuck your shirts in.
Steviekick Posted December 29, 2003 Author Report Posted December 29, 2003 Yeah, the studded belt has been discarded.
Ravenbomb Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 they might be from moths. I get those holes too, I blame moths. I can't let the dogs out after 6pm without 800 moths getting in the house, not to mention misquitos depending on the time of year...ugh...
Steviekick Posted December 29, 2003 Author Report Posted December 29, 2003 Hmmm... I never thought about moths.
The Kid Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 It might be the dryer you are using, this happens to a few of my shirts as well...it's not the studded belt because I don't wear one.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 My understanding is that they are from zippers on pants that you dry with these shirts. The zippers have sharp edges and flying around in there they make the little holes. Your best bet is to zip and button your pants when washing and drying to avoid this. Next week, I'll cover how to properly starch your shirts.

OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Nope. Sewing it will be too noticeable. Live and learn.
