Dream Matches

What the hell; I'm bored, too...

This question is mostly for the "newer" WFers and the JLers, but you veterans can answer, too: what three characters had you always wanted to compete against but never got a chance to?

For me, it was:

El Luchadore Magnifico - I've mentioned before that I had wanted to do a "Hero Worship" story when I got bumped, but apparently it wasn't meant to be.

Fallout - Many people have told me that he was the best LHW ever, and one of the best writers in the history of the fed; I'd really like to have tested my mettle against him.

Suicide King - My original intention in my first WF storyline (the one where Johnny got "suspended") was for it to lead to a match against King, but he had something else going, so I went back to good ol' reliable Ejiro.

Honorable mention goes to Erek Taylor, who I never got a chance to take on in a singles match, and always wanted to.

Honestly? Stubby. He's considered one of the best ever, to the point that he retired with the belt instead of being defeated for it. Call me an egomaniac, but I would have liked to see whether he would have brought out the best in me.

Also, King, but you knew that.

I don't like old people. They all smell like ben gay and watch too much Matlock.

Yes, I am in a foul mood.

Grump. Grump. Grump.

Danny Williams of course. A serious ammount of real life 'hero worship' going on there.

I think it's something I'd like to have for his leaving or for mine. Night of a 1000 Elbows. It'd just be fantastic.

Aecas. Another one that would be for my retirement. It was just be a come bloody hardcore war and half the fans would be dead.

It'd going to happen and rivers of blood will flow.

Janus. It even did happen properly back in the JL and it needs to be done. Just for the sheer over hossness of it.

Aecas. Just for the sheer magnitude of hoss-violence we'd do.

Muzzums, just because. (Y)

And King back when he was commish. The whole "giant heroic face vs evil heel boss" angle would've been fun.

These entries are subject to change.

There were three people I always wanted to have singles matches/feuds with:

- Chris Wilson. I wanted to feud with Wilson, but the timing was never quite right. Too bad, since I really enjoyed his work, and I think the two of us could have put on something pretty entertaining. 'Twas never to be, unfortunately.

- HVT. We always had tenative plans to try and work something, but there was always a conflict for one of us, so it never happened. A nice battle of the giants is always a good time.

- Mark Stevens. When I was a heel for most of 2002, I would have LOVED to feud with Mark. Unfortunately, he retired before I even came back, and when I did come back, I still wasn't in a position to try and feud with someone of his caliber. Still, I loved Mark's face character (probably one of my top 3 of all time), and I would have loved to do something, even just a match, with him.

Flesher-In a 70s style 2/3 falls match. It would be like Jumbo/Robinson all over again, but with the possibility of even more advanced mat work and striking. Though Billy's stuff blows away most modern mat work.

Thugg-I really like to write matches with powerful brawlers, so why not the best?

Frost-Another wrestler, I could work very well with. Nice moveset with the Tiger Driver, Chokeslam...etc. Moves that can be teased and build around rather easily. Also a big emphasis on striking with his punches and Lariats that could make for some intresting exchanges. We went at in the SJL once or twice, but both of us has advanced so much since than.

Dace-Duh. But y'all are gonna have to weight a little more longer.

Wildchild-Love the flowing rapid fire move set, which makes very fun, smooth matches. I've wrote against him before, but I wouldn't mind doing it again.

There's other people as well, though here's a couple that come to mind.

Chris Wilson- When i first started paying attention to the IGNWF back in mid-2001 Wilson was probably my favorite character. I was lucky enough to work with him after i was bumped, though i would have liked a chance to face off against him as well.

Jay Dawg- I've always been a JD fan, hell, i even marked for Jamie fuckin' Bjork (pre-Anarchy anyway), but aside from eliminating each other in the last two Clusterfucks i've never faced him (or if i did, it was in one of my many periods of chronic no-showing). Hopefully that will change at some time in the future.

Janus- I figure the two Sydney residents should face off at some point. I always like writing against big powerful opponents where Stryke can bump around like a pinball anyway.

Wildchild- My writing style is naturally very spotty in nature, which can cost me against alot of opponents, but against Wildchild i think i could pull out quite a fun match.

I know basically nobody gives a shit about the Tod character anymore (me included), but in my time, I would've loved at least a match or feud with the big names like Edwin or King; as well as the new names (at the time) who were popping up, namely Wildchild (who I happily bequeathed the No Gravity match to), Dace (got a feeling we could've produced some cheerily violent matches) & either Ejiro or Judge.

I would've also loved one more "Who the hell is the better man?" feud with Danny, as to exercize the writing muscles a little.

King, Stubby, and Thugg.

I think.

Yeah, that'll do.

K.
