Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Report post Posted December 31, 2003 Because Rspw and the entire internet community hate Hogan! The man was a superhero in the early 90's, that's why he no-sold Earthquake's ass-splash of doom! ( I'm losing my mind)

Just John 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2003 2 things that stand out - Hogan and Warrior running perpendicular to one another on the ropes for about 5 minutes - The fireball that wouldn't light Not to mention the build was horrible as well, including the infamous "Everyone but Bischoff can see the Warrior in the mirror" promo. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2003 I remember the next night on Nitro he came out to save the Disciple from an NWO attack, then was never seen again. You know it takes some skill and effort to get the crowd to boo one of the most popular performers of all time.

Just John 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2003 While we're at it, go ahead and include the many "ring fills with smoke" promos. The worst one being at Fall Brawl 98. It was already one of the most boring war games ever, but Warrior comes in halfway through. Hogan leaves the cage thorugh the door, but Warrior breaks through the side of the cage to chase after Hogan.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2003 I think the worst part of the whole thing was the commentators trying to sell that this was the rematch "we" all wanted.

It was already one of the most boring war games ever, but Warrior comes in halfway through. Hogan leaves the cage thorugh the door, but Warrior breaks through the side of the cage to chase after Hogan. And tears his bicep in the process rendering him unable to "wrestle" except for one tag match on Nitro with Warrior/Sting vs. Hogan/Hitman and the Havoc match. Gert T 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 For me it was a few other reasons, besides those mentioned. Dumb matches like Glacier vs. Meng and Alex Wright vs. Fit Finlay (I guess someone should have told WCW no one cared about "impromptu matches" if they suck. The usual Steiner v. Steiner we got in 98. The Nitro girls taking up about 25 minutes of PPV time....... Which lead to the PPV being cut off right after the three count in the Hogan-Warrior match since WCW had the great foresight to tell all of the PPV providers they would be running 3 1/2 hours of air time. But besides that, the match did suck too!
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted January 2, 2004 The PPV ran 3 1/2 hours?! Damn, never knew. Commercial video clipped a lot of matches then, because it's a tad short of the 3 hr. mark.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Yeah, I remember SK saying he'd bump the match up to DUD if they actually DID manage to BBQ him. hahah That would've been worth bumping it to DUD in my book. The PPV ran 3 1/2 hours?! Damn, never knew. Commercial video clipped a lot of matches then, because it's a tad short of the 3 hr. mark. They cut several matches out... Lodi/Saturn, Glacier/Meng, Finlay/Wright, and maybe one other. Besides, you can tell they cut some matches out because of how they talk about a match earlier in the night, and it's not even on the tape. Speaking of Halloween Havoc 98... which match would you guys say was MOTN from that PPV? Raven/Jericho gets my vote.

Speaking of Halloween Havoc 98... which match would you guys say was MOTN from that PPV? Raven/Jericho gets my vote. Jericho/Raven was awesome. About **** if I had to stick a star-rating on it. Goldberg/DDP was pretty good, but around ***, maybe Goldbergs best match ever. The rest of the show is pretty forgetable. Wasn't their a REALLY BORING Sting/Bret Hart match? Brocklock 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Speaking of Halloween Havoc 98... which match would you guys say was MOTN from that PPV? I'd go with DDP/Goldberg with Raven/Jericho slightly behind it. I'd give both near 4 stars though. Their was also a fun Disco/Juvi match at that show.

PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 We send out undying hate to all involved in the angle and match because Saturn was cut from ppv and was injured by warrior's trap door, which incidentally has been commonly described as 'fucking gay' by the majority of saturnsmarks4lives. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 DDP/Goldberg was great. Carrying Goldie to a decent match suddenly made me a big Page fan. The Raven-Jericho match was sweet too, but other than that it was a mostly horrible show.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 but other than that it was a mostly horrible show. Which, for a show that was full of "dream matches" is pretty pathetic. Hall-Nash Hogan-Warrior Steiner-Steiner Hart-Sting

Hall-Nash Hogan-Warrior Steiner-Steiner Hart-Sting Nash/Hall was long and boring with a gay finish Bret/Sting was long and boring with another gay finish. Steiner/Steiner ate up 15 minutes for a fake Buff Bagwell injury. Warrior/Hogan I already said. So yeah, they fucked up 4 major matches.

Just John 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 The Steiner/Steiner segment was the worst of any of their ppv meetings. First, Buff Bagwell claims he "changed" and wants to help Rick against Giant and Scott. Of course, 5 seconds into the match, and Buff turns, but Rick still beats the other team by himself. During the Rick/Scott match, Buff runs down dressed as BILL CLINTON (I do believe Tony S. said something to the effect of "Is that Bill Clinton in the ring?"), but Rick still wins. The Hall/Nash bit ran way too long, but the worst part was Nash yelling through the whole match. "I think he wants a double!" X
