The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Well..... Let's see if Indy/Denver can continue the streak of awesome games so far. The streak of...1? Carolina/Dallas was poop
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Time to find out if the Eagles have learned how to stop the run. If the game was in the Vet, I'd say the Packers were done. And if the Eagles came in with something that looked like a run defense. Now...should be a damn good game. The Packers don't have a very good defense. McNabb is not Matt Hasselback. And the Eagles have quite possibly the best secondary in the league...the Seahawks didn't. I don't see this as much of a contest unless Green does bust out. But the run can be contained.
2GOLD Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Well..... Let's see if Indy/Denver can continue the streak of awesome games so far. If Manning gets picked off about three times, I'll laugh. Like I'm laughing at Mr. "I've had one good year so I think I'm Joe Namath" Man, the Pats vs Titans and Eagles vs Packers are going to be awesome games. The Rams vs Panthers is a blow out waiting to happen.
KingPK Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 And Ravens/Titans stunk until the 4th quarter and Anthony Wright finally realized he was in the playoffs.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Um, Bobby Ingram sucks. itchell and Pinky are PLAYAKERS, baby. We don't need "super" receivers b/c McNabb is just that great and creates like 8 different receivers days. TEAM OF DESTINY? You mean Team that played like shit all year and made the playoffs on a freak Cardinals win. And barely beat the crappy Seahawks. Philly/GB is gonna be an awesome WAR. GREAT game today!
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 The Rams vs Panthers is a blow out waiting to happen. How so? The Rams lost to the Lions. Homefield advantage or not, you cannot lose to the Lions and be deemed a great team. The Panthers have a really good defense that could stop Faulk. Bulger is the wild card. One series he is amazing, the next he looks like Rob Johnson. He needs to be consistent for any success. If they call for Warner later in the game, I'd be more open to a Ram's blowout.

You are aware that "Team of Destiny" usually means team that is having the most impossible stuff happen around them with only decent players with one or two stars right? Officially, the Packers do fall under the "Team of Destiny" line since the playoffs always has one. And lately the "Team of Destiny" is 2-for-2 in the Super Bowl the last two years. But it'll be a great game and I'm just going to hate it if the Eagles lose. Not because I like them, but because the Eagles fans will want to claim the head of every player and every coach on the team while screaming "THEY DIDN'T WANT IT ENOUGH!!!" Like last year when I heard some Philly fans discussing why Andy Reid should have been fired for losing in the Vet.

I would take Jackson/Alexander/Robinson/Ingram/Mili any day over Thrash/Mitchell/Pinkston. I don't think any of those receivers could even see playing time on the Seahawks. I would also take the Hawks backfield any day over the Eagles as well. And Hasselbeck had better overall stats than McNabb this year as well.

Homefield advantage or not, you cannot lose to the Lions and be deemed a great team. St. Louis doesn't have to be great to beat Carolina at home. They haven't lost at home in two years, and I don't expect they will now. Colts fans should remember that they started with an early TD last game, too.

Yeah exactly, winning in St Louis in the playoffs is extremely hard and I don't know if it will be easy to beat the Rams when they are up for the game. They just seemed to be like "oh, the Lions...easy home field for us" when they played. They won't be like that now. Of course, if Martz doesn't give the ball to Faulk then they are done.
treble Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 This game is so coming down to Vanderjagt missing a chip shot and costing the Colts the game.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 MCNABB = PLAYMAKER, WINNER HASSELBACK = SUCK Alexander's a decent back. The Eagles have 2 decent backs, and Westbrook, now gone, is a PLAYMAKER and a WINNER as well. Stats don't mean everything. W's do. Our defense is better. We are 7-1 on the road. What was Seattle, 1-8 altogether? R.I.P. Seattle. Return to your rainy Java lounges and murder yourselves, Eagle hating grunge fans.
CanadianChris Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Wow, Blue Man Group are Colts fans. This drive is looking very familiar.

Urban Warfare Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Great season for Seattle, but a very disappointing ending. Hasselbeck looks to be a emerging QB for Seattle.
2GOLD Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Took him long enough. Nice tackle to stop the Broncos drive, unless they go for it which they won't. Elam nails a field goal 3:41 1st Q Indy 7 Den 3
2GOLD Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Denver thought they were in college football Touchdown Indy
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Harrison just walks it in.
2GOLD Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Has anyone told the Broncos they are playing football? Cause I'm not sure they know they are. God, at least tell them they are playing two hand touch.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Broncos are probably going down after such a terrible mistake.
2GOLD Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Broncos are probably going down after such a terrible mistake. They may have just passed Hasselbeck for stupidity.
CanadianChris Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Phil Simms just summed up the Broncos day: "They had the perfect defense, and they still couldn't stop that play." Also, I would say that this Colts team would absolutely shred Kansas City, even in Arrowhead.
tpww7 Posted January 4, 2004 Author Report Posted January 4, 2004 Plummer throws it to 5 Colts and not one INT's it.
2GOLD Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 I'm beginning to think Denver didn't know this was a real game cause they are just playing dead. This is brutal to watch. They are making Manning look like he is a football god.

AlwaysPissedOff Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 Well, there goes one skeleton in Peyton's closet...
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 I thinking Manning's proving he deserved the MVP title all to himself.
