I just found the Y2J/HHH and Benoit/Rock matches on one of my tapes ...

What did you think of those matches?

It was really exciting at the time that Jericho, Benoit & Angle were all thrown into the main event mix at once. Then they lost their respective matches to HHH, Rock & Taker. And their red-hot momentum was killed. Angle recovered but Jericho & Benoit really didn't.

HHH-Jericho I'd give ****1/2 despite the wrong guy going over, Rock-Benoit ****1/4.

I'd say SummerSlam 2000 did more to hurt Benoit and Jericho than Fully Loaded did. Benoit being announced as WWF Champion at Fully Loaded pretty much necessitated a one-on-one rematch between he and the Rock for SummerSlam, but instead he got shot back down the card for a meaningless match with Jericho while Rock was unnecessarily thrown into the mix with Angle and HHH. And Jericho really should've stolen Stephanie out from under HHH's and Angle's noses and turned heel.

As for the Fully Loaded matches themselves, I haven't seen them in a while (lost the tape), but they were great from what I remember.

I think Benoit/rock is overrated.

And it's funny that the guy who got was the one recovered

It should have said The one who was squashed, sorry

Both were very good matches. I went nuts when Benoit was annouced the winner, then they fucked me and reversed it, I stopped watching the show after that cause I knew how it was going to end.

Then they pulled a shit move and did just about the same thing with Benoit and Rock in the 4 way match...think I stopped watching that ppv right after that too.

Triple H v Chris Jericho will probably be in my top 5 matches of all time for a VERY long time, and definately my favourite Triple H match ever.

The Rock v Chris Benoit is also REALLY good.

HHH/Y2J was better than Benoit/Rock by a slim margin.

It's funny, the match itself really did nothing to kill Jericho's momentum; he looked great in it. It was more the booking of the feud that led to it, and his treatment afterwards. For all intents and purposes HHH was the sympathetic chaarcter in that match, and he got one hell of a pop. Then after the match Y2J was shunted down into a IC feud with Benoit.
