King Kamala Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Last night I was listening to the local classic rock station since it's the only decent station nearby and first they played The Eagles "New Kid in Town" followed by Poison's Talk Dirty to Me followed by Metallica's the Unforgiven Part 2 followed by Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl. That was such a weird little set of songs than again it's 2 AM on a Sunday morning so nobody's really listening.
Sonic Reducer Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Perhaps you were ridiculously delirious at 2AM.
The Czech Republic Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 My classic rock station plays The Wall out of order at 2 a.m.
Steviekick Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Most radio stations use computer software to set up their playlists. They randomly set up song lists and rotation and such. Most of the time they'd fix it up so it wouldn't be random like that, but since no one listens at that time its passable.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 after 1 or 2 am is the best time to listen to the radio. If they don't go strictly by computer playlists at all times, they will usually be more adventuresome with their song selection.
Red Baron Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Still doesn't beat Stairway to Heaven followed by Highway to Hell.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Is it Rocktober already? My local 2 classic rock stations have late night jocks who are usually dissatisfied and drunk, so it's a whole lot of bar music like Boston, Kansas, Kiss, AC/DC, and The Scorpions. Oh god, The fucking Scorpions...
Guest mesepher Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 nothing will EVER beat the time Chicago radio played Floyd's Several Species... around 4:00 pm
Nighthawk Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I heard Mexican Radio followed by Limp Bizkit's Crushed, then Dio's Last In Line once. Could have been stranger I guess, but I don't listen to the radio much.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 i once heard Queen's Greatest Hits done in order one night around midnight... not a classic rock station but it was still eerie... Oh...and my favorite back to back songs... The Muppets 12 Days Of Xmas followed by Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas... don't ask me why...i just thought that was great...
