Downhome 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Consider this a OAO thread about the happenings with Stevie, or don't, whatever. For months and months we've seen Stevie go out there basicly as the valet to Victoria. I really can't remember the last time that he was actually presented as a serious wrestler of sorts against anyone. Has he ever been in a serious situation other than being in the RTC in WWE? I just want to express how much I actually liked that little segment with Stevie/Victoria/Test. I've been a fan of his for years and years, ever since he first debut way back whenever that was, so it was cool to see him actually be held back from trying to kick someones ass. As for Victoria... ...I'm all for them both turning face, but damnit...please, keep that woman acting crazy, I love that about her. Sincerely, ...Downhome... jester 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 I agree. Victoria must remain psycho. A psycho Victoria vs. Sadistic Jazz fued would rock. And I wish WWE would stop having the female wrestling run from the men. I think Victoria would have got a pretty big pop if she'd attacked Test, even if she wasn't able to do any damage. They'll like her just for having the guts.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 I think at best it will be that Stevie and Victoria are mutual partners. I'm personally happy (being the biggest Stevie-mark on this board) that they are finally doing something serious (well, not serious because he's a comedy character, but more along along the lines of doing something with him) with Test. Thanks to the two of them being total psychos, it can be very easy to use them as tweeners.

Instead of saying that Victoria is running away, they should have picked up on the fact that by her not interfering, Stevie could win the match. The latter way just makes Test look mean while the other way helps get Stevie over. One of the reasons why I loved when Paul Heyman was doing commentary was because he picked up on details like this. Downhome 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Yeah, don't get me wrong. I do NOT want Victoria to morph into a fucking "diva". I want her to remain a kick ass psycho along with Stevie, and I want them to remain together, both being crazy. I'm just happy that they are apparently going to allow Stevie to just, I dunno, become "more" I suppose, if not all that more and if not for all that long. I also hate seeing the women run from the men, being manhandled, etc... I've said it before and I'll say it again, it just DESTROYS the credibility of the entire womens division and makes them all look more like shit.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Victoria can never be a diva, she's best being the psycho woman. The psycho chick/guy pairing works very well when you have the right workers involved. Victoria/Stevie can, just like Crowbar/Daphne did in WCW. The best part of the psycho gimmick is that they can switch from being heel and face easily because, well, they are nuts. Downhome 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Just watch. We'll see WWE unfold an "epic" storyline in which it ends with Victoria kicking Stevie's ass and joining up with Test, and we'll never see Stevie again. Toss in a little touch of "Victoria now has amnesia, etc..." and I think I just might have nailed this one.

Guest drdrainoscott Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Anyone think that Stevie is about to be cut? I realized last night that when they cut D-Lo and Raven, they both recieved minor pushes right before they were cut. The same thing seems to be happening to Stevie. I realized last night that when they cut D-Lo and Raven, they both recieved minor pushes right before they were cut. The same thing seems to be happening to Stevie. i'm not sure I'd call what happened to Raven a push. The guy fianally won the right to reappear on Raw, which he did minus all the things that actually made Raven Raven (hair, make-up, kilt, etc) and then got jobbed out to Jeff Hardy so he couldn't enter the rumble. Bye bye Mr Levy, nice knowing you.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Raven and D-Lo looked really bad in their mini pushes before they were let go. So far Stevie has been booked to look well.

OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Unfortunately, Stevie wrestling on Raw last night was only for one reason. To help turn Victoria face. Once that is established, he will no longer wrestle on Raw and will either return to Heat or be released. Victoria unfortunately will be your next diva. And there is only one payoff to this that would be considered a success: If she poses in Playboy.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 You say: Keep the women wrestlers in their division and the men in theirs. Is it because Vicky & Stevie are already together? If Jericho turns face & aligns himself w/ Trish, that doesn't mean each of them will have to be at ringside during each of the other's matches.

If Jericho turns face & aligns himself w/ Trish, that doesn't mean each of them will have to be at ringside during each of the other's matches. 1) I'm ok with Victoria and Stevie. Victoria, as of now, isn't just another diva wrestler who will get huge face pops and will always overshadow whoever she is with. They have the same character, it's a different kind of relationship. 2) I'd be ok, more so, if Trish and Jericho were together but simply were NEVER at ringside for the other. I still don't like them even being together though, even if it's only in the back, as I really want to see them push Jericho on his own, not with someone else, who will obviously end up being focused on more so than Jericho himself, in the long run. Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 I dunno, Jericho is one of the top names on Raw (although his booking wouldn't lead you to believe it). I doubt they'd push Jericho aside & focus on Trish. Plus, Jericho can get over as a face on his own, so he won't have to leech of Trish's face heat.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 well for starters, Stevie/Victoria is not a soap opera angle like Jericho/Trish. Secondly, For Jericho to be involved in this angle with Trish is almost taking a step back for him, as he should be past the point of needing a female valet to be over. Stevie & Victoria show up together and are "together" most of the time, but there isn't some huge angle with backstage promos every 20 mins. I swear the Trish/Jericho angle is something right out of a teenage drama movie like "she's all that" except their acting is a lot worse.

If we have Trish with Jericho...at ringside, she'll be getting chants through the match, the fans will respond to her every now and then, and that isn't fucking worth it. I have no idea why so many people here want her with Jericho, it's nothing but a bad thing to me, and I'm "Mr. Positive".

Downhome 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Then what is their purpose of being together? Just a backstage romance just for the hell of it? Why do something if it isn't going to have a direct effect on the in ring aspect?
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 I.......dunno. I just don't think it's OMG WORST IDEA EVER~! that some people are making it out to be.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Everything needs a reason for it's taking place, so just why should Jericho and Trish be "together" if it isn't going to have anything to do with their in ring performance? Is it not a BETTER idea to just end this, allow Trish to continue in the women's division and allow Jericho to simply take place in the uppercard? I don't care if they have a backstage romance, and it doesn't effect their in ring happenings, I just don't see any reason for it to take place, other than to waste time with shitty backstage segments that serve no purpose. If they get together in terms of Trish being Jericho's valet, then I do think it's a horrible horrbile idea, not just for Jericho, but for both of them in their careers. Trish would be made to look like a weak ass every time someone tries to use her to get to Jericho, and Jericho would have Trish being cheered over HIM in his matches. I see no positive here. I'll stop now.
