Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Is it 4 singles matches? I'm assuming a tournament.
Guest vicvenomjr Report post Posted January 15, 2004 possible XXX reunion, awesome X match, AAA rasslers show-up, Gilberti no longer with Simon and Swinger. Yeah lot's of shitty booking here.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Kash vs. Vaugn is on now, with Vaugn busting out the tiniest bladejob. Kash fucking plants Vaugn with a top rope bodyslam that looked wicked, followed by the Money Maker. Interestingly enough, Kash drops Vaugn on his thigh and not between his legs. Don't know if that's commonplace now for him after he almost crippled a couple guys before. That's enough for a win. Kash signs the paper with Vaugn's blood, though it's really more like smearing his face into the paper. Tiny the Timekeeper runs into the ring, takes off his shirt (and you thought Madden was scary) and attacks Kash. He punches, clotheslines, and spears Kash. Kash gets the advantage, and goes RIDICUOUSLY easy on Tiny, barely even touching him. Don Harris runs in, The Redshirts run-in, America's Most Wanted run-in. WHOO! RUN-INS ROCK! Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Very cool video package on Mitchell/Gathering vs. Raven. Hudson approaches who he thinks is Raven in a cloak, but it's Mitchell. Mitchell says that a long time ago, he mentioned that he held the key to Raven's soul, and The Gathering are the first two. Punk cuts a half decent promo, and next is Sandman/Raven (if he shows up) vs. Punk/Julio in a Double Singapore Cane Match. I kind of like how they're making Punk and Julio remain dark, but at the same time, Julio's employing parts of his cocky asshole gimmick into his repotoire. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I believe CM Punk just introduced the Ohtani boot scrape to a PPV audience for the first time.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 The whole thing is a handicapped match. Punk and Julio win with a double superkick, and they double team Sandman afterwards. Watts is concerned only with winning, and asks Goldy to stay in the back.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 They cut back to the ring, and Sandman is just getting up. He calls for Raven, and since he can't rely on Raven, he's going to call "The King of the 10,000 tacks" Balls Mahoney next week. Ummm... Yay.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Calls interrupts Tenay, and airs an exlcusive tape directly from Jarrett. It's to hype the debut of "The most hated man in America," Johnny Fairplay's debut in TNA next week.

Guest vicvenomjr Report post Posted January 15, 2004 More mic time for Punk, a win for the Gathering and Mitchell speaks. Yup real painful.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 More mic time for Punk, a win for the Gathering and Mitchell speaks. Yup real painful. Shut up. No one has come in and complained that the show is terrible, as this is a very steady and positive show.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Jarrett picks up the win when Jarrett hits one of them with the belt. Bill Behrens and Tenay complain to the ref, and they decide to restart the match.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Chokeslam to Abyss, as El Lion (the masked guy) attacks Jarrett, and they brawl to the back. Springboard splash by Styles to Abyss. TWO. Abyss clotheslines Watts to the floor. Springboard shoulderblock by Styles, and here comes Goldyblocks. Time for a turn.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 "I will not be ignored." She low blows Abyss, and Styles damn near blows a criss cross sunset flip. 1-2-3. Styles gets a title shot, and Watts is still in charge of TNA. Thank God they didn't do the turn.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Don Callis is ranting and raving. He wants Watts to be forced to resign, and he threatens to quit. If the decision is overturned, Watts says that HE'LL quit. A little bit of Johnny Fairplay plugging, and a pretty good night is over.

Guest vicvenomjr Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Another very good show. Come one, come all, start to complain, you miserable drones. Too much JJ-he lost AJ's not getting a push-he won again. Shane won-great match Douglas won-XXX reunites? Not enough rassling-AAA soon to appear.
tpww7 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 If they build up Styles for him to lose for the 10th time in a row, it isnt really a push.
Guest vicvenomjr Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Mantell's shitty booking? NWATNA, is two for two this year. Raw is 0 for 2. Smackdown 0 for 1. See you in Allentown.....

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Well, I fell asleep and missed tonight's show. I'm glad I taped it, so I can watch it tomorrow. vicvenomjr, didn't you leave? Oh, right. Why would a SP0RTZ 3NT3RT@1NM3NT~! mark like yourself respect such a statement as "I'm leaving"? But that's besides the point. Can I be sure these matches were good? No, no I cannot. And I watch the shows to see good matches, which TNA rarely delivers anymore. Instead, I get about an hour's worth of Jeff Jarrett on my TV in angles I don't give two flying fucks about, seeing some really good younger stars get pushed in such a manner that it bores me, and see a whoooooole shitload of matches that are just that: shit. So next time, motherfucker, you choose to try to egg me on in a flamewar, pick something that's worth flaming over, like maybe SOMETHING YOU HAVEN'T BEEN COMPLETELY OWNED OVER BEFORE, and take it to Hardcore Discussion. Now good day, fucky. So I take it the show was decent?
Tawren 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 So I take it the show was decent? Eh, nothing to write home about. I ordered on hopes the 3 way would be great...it was passable. Waste of my money, I felt, but then again, I'm stingy.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I woke up during spurts (fell asleep just before AMW/Redshirts, woke after Triple Threat, fell asleep two minutes into Simon/Young, woke up at 10:17), but the few of the show I saw wasn't too good. Simon's deteriorated a whole lot since ECW.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Was Jon Dalton from Survivor the "big news" instead of WGN? Yes, inexplicably. I actually like Jonny Fairplay and even I'M massively disappointed by this.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Same here. I like Johnny in a weird-I-like-heels kinda way. But I just wonder what type of role he's gonna play...manager? Maybe he'll get TNA on Extra, Access Hollywood, or that kinda show to get exposure. Of course I wouldn't know if they would get more buys, but at least they'd get the name out there.
