I know someone who plays out every game for every team in the season. Frightening.

I'm working on an undefeated season in 2009 on Madden with the Pats. I've won two SBs (beating the Eagles and Falcons) and I've played pretty much every single game.

Madden 2004 is too easy for me. NFL2K3 keeps it kind of realistic, so Im playing that instead of Madden. Anyways we're in the first year, as New Orleans. We're 8-0, but I did assess the schedule and we have pretty much one of the easiest schedules around. The toughest non-divisional team we had so far was Green Bay (at 5-2). My quarterback is a custom made quarterback and I also have a custom receiver and tight end. I pretty much play a wide open passing game but I make sure Deuce McAllister gets a decent amount of carries (Deuce recently broke the record for yards in a game with 374 against a pitiful Lions D with 43 carries).

I'm currently in year 2 of my Bears dynasty in ESPN NFL after a 5-11 season and purging of the roster and trades and I am 13-3 currently with Tom Brady (QB), Edgerrin James (RB) and Lavernous Coles (#1 WR) and am currently in the Conference Championship against the Eagles.

Both. I'm a Chicago fan and I wanted a challenge. Traded my #1 pick for Edge and then signed Tom Brady and Coles through free agency.

I'm playing my Madden 2004 franchise as the Arizona Cardinals and my head is hurting as I'm starting off the first season with a horrid 1-9 record with 6 games to go. My D-Line can't stop the run to save their lives as proven by Garrison Hearst, Corey Dillon and Jerome Bettis. And Marques Tuiasosopo as my starting QB doesn't help matters either.

I've just decided to tough out the blowouts and close losses knowing I'm going to have a high number in the draft. To help matters, I started the season by immediately dealing Emmitt Smith to the 49ers (causing a virtual Armaggedon in the process) for draft picks. I traded up even further by cutting fat and lowering my team salary to the cheapest in the league at around $48 M. But I managed to grab the Panthers 1st round pick to help me rebuild my shitty team. I think I have 2 1st Rounders, a 2nd rounder and 3 4th rounders along with 6th and 7th round picks.

Well I'm playing ESPN franchise mode with the Detroit Lions.

I fount it kinda funny that the primary goal is just to win over 3 games.

Right now i'm just in the preseason. Trying to trade...but its so hard for me to trade off Lions players. I'm trying hard to build up a monster defense first. Then grab a few good WR.

Just started my Madden '04 Steelers franchise (Spent the last few weeks tweaking sliders to make the game realistic stats/gameplay-wise). Did the fantasy draft last night and am currently halfway though the preseason...

How do you "tweak" sliders? What is a slider?

Make sure not to trade Charlie Rogers. He should get a good stat increase for next season, and can be used as a number one or two receiver. I'd try and trade for picks, since it's tough to get good people on D...guys like Brian Urlacher don't come cheap.

Sliders are difficulty settings you can micromanage to make your game more enjoyable. If you go into Game play Settings you can adjust the difficulty or easiness of a number of game play features for you and the A.I.

Some offensive sliders you can tweak are QB passing accuracy, pass blocking, running ability. (I tweak the AI's passing accuacy and Pass blocking to make it a bit weaker)

Some defensive sliders you can tweak are Awareness, tackling, break block. (I tweak my and the AI's awareness up and tweak our chance of getting interceptions down)

Some special teams sliders you can tweak are kicking power and accuracy. (I tweak my and the AI's field-goal kicking distance and accuracy down quite a bit).

You can also make the likelihood of certain penalties being called (false start/holding) more or less frequent. (I make just about everything more frequent)

I started using sliders in Madden ’03 when my star-packed defenses couldn’t get near QBs that had mediocre offensive lines, yet I was always under pressure despite having more favorable blocking match-ups...

Oh I'm not trading him or Az-Hakim at all. Right now Hakim is the top WR with Rogers closing in on him. It was kind of a scare during the 2nd preseason game. Hakim and Luther Eliss both got injured. Luckily it was just for 1/2 weeks respectively.

Oh and I check the free agents and your right, its not easy signing some good defensive players. I cut away a few deadweights all of whom I've never knew was still on the team. (Rat was all under 50) I replaced them with slightly younger and better players. Knocked my overall team rating up to 81 from 79.

And thank god for personal soundtracks! Will checking stats in the office I can listen to my fav music.

Right now The Saints are 12-0.

We have the NFL leaders in Passing yards and passing touchdowns in my custom quarterback, Chris Jones. As well as Deuce McAllister lighting up the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Also finally, Mike Morgan (custom receiver) leading in receiving yards and receiving TDs. Kind of like "The Big Three".

We just defeated Tampa Bay in an uncharacteristically low scoring game for us (14-7) due to incredible ball control by us and total usage of our play clock.

God, Clinton Portis is a fumbling machine on ESPN. Tiki must be insane if Portis fumbles every other game.

Still, I love my franchise team. Used the fantasy draft, so I have Brian Urlacher/Chris Mcallister anchoring a pretty good D, and Bulger/Blake, Portis/Onterrio Smith, and Burress/Chad Johnson/Santana Moss for my O. I think I have Anquan Boldin too, but he's terrible in this game.

I made sure that my core group was nice and young, so my team should be able to win this year as well as down the road.

Some of the other teams drafted really weird. The Jets have Ricky Williams, Edgerrin James, and Fred Taylor. And pretty much nothing else. When my team played the Jets in the first game of the year, I injured Edge. :)

Dallas Cowboys in Year 2 of ESPN NFL.

Traded Hambrick for Steven Davis and a Third Round draft pick, got rid of Antonio Bryant for Ryan Pickett and an awesome created player with hands and speed rating of 99. Working on my second Super Bowl.

Everyone of my cornerbacks are going to the Pro Bowl, even the backups.

I have GameCube, so Sega doesn't make any NFL2K games anymore. Besides, I am a Madden player for life.

Anyway, I played 2003 with the Niners and was in the 12th year of the franchise before I got bored of it. I won 9 SBs and made the playoffs every year.

I always used to sign some big player who was a free agent, then trade him to a team who had a bad record by week 6 so I could get a nice draft pick. It worked sometimes, and sometimes it didn't work. I got a WR who was a 87 right away, so I lucked out pretty well with that one.

Right now, I am only in week 8 in Madden 2004 with the Niners. I haven't played much video games this year.

I restarted my Cardinals franchise on Madden because I accidentally deleted the file while clearing out some of my NCAA football stuff.

Still in the preseason, dealing Emmitt Smith to the Niners for a 2nd Round Pick then acquiring Deion Branch from the Patsies with said 2nd Round Pick. Also dealt Jeff Blake to the Raiders for Tuiasosopo and a 4th Round.

We're 1-1 in the preseason, but LaDanian proved we still have no run defense, lighting us up for 200 yards rushing when we visited San Diego.

Shit, I almost never play any games in my seasons, as I pretty much like simulating and working through the off-season. My brother got Madden '04 for Christmas and I tried to make the Bengals a winner, but the furthest I got was the Conference championship.

Here at school, I have Madden 2000 which is just a *bit* of a step-down ( ), but I took the Saints and won 5 Super Bowls before I got bored and moved to the Panthers. I got fired in my second season there and then no one else would hire me (which is bullshit, I mean, I had 5 SBs, including 4 in a row), so I just went back to where I last saved it, traded for a better QB and the team went to the Super Bowl.

I play about 1 game a season.

I'm sorry, BUT THE NINERS DON'T WANT SMITH.

I played about 7 full seasons (playing every game) with the Bengals. I then moved to Arizona and played about 2 full seasons, so yes - in total, I played 9 full seasons in Madden 2004.

First season -- I'm 1-2 with a crappy offense.

Each game has featured freaking RAIN, which contributed to my plethora of fumbles and busted plays.

If I'm playing this crappy when the weather is dry I will start to worry...
