Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I wouldn't mind Orton taking the World title from Triple H at all... Orton > HHH HHH has better mic skills, ring skills and more heat. HHH >Orton.
Guest Ray Report post Posted January 15, 2004 HHH has better mic skills, Horseshit. HHH's promos are awful. At least we haven't heard Orton spew out the same crap in every promo for years. ring skills Orton is younger, more athletic, and has many more good years ahead of him. I'd take the young, quick Orton over the slow, boring old HHH. more heat. Blah blah blah. HHH gets the entrance pop, then silence. HHH >Orton. Wrong. Orton annoys me far less. ORTON FOR PRESIDENT. Yeah, he trips over his lines constantly. Much better. Blah blah blah. HHH gets the entrance pop, then silence. As opposed to the silence/silence combo orton rings in with? Orton is younger, more athletic, and has many more good years ahead of him People have said this about Test.
Guest Ray Report post Posted January 15, 2004 1. Wrong. He doesn't. It's still better than the "Uh, I am the Game, uh I've beaten them all" promo we get from HHH every damn week. 2. Orton gets heat. I've heard it. 3. Orton is better than Test. Both of them are less annoying than HHH. ORTON IS THE NEXT GOD OF WRESTLING. Mark my words. First stop, winning the Royal Rumble. Second, clean pin over HHH for the title at Mania. Last, WORLD DOMINATION! ORTON! ORTON! ORTON!

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Line of 2004! I was surprised with the heat (or lack thereof) that HHH got in his entrance on RAW. And that's not the usual HHHate, I was legitimately surprised since he tends to get that big pop when the music plays.

haVoc 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I predict Randy Orton begins to have consistently good matches and will begin to get huge heat and most will continue to come up with excuses why WWE shouldn't push him. Mush like Brock Lesnar who some still don't like because of his heatless push in the beginning.

Since Lesnar is doing wonders with ppv buyrates and house show sales increases, damn, he is the next Austin and Orton is the next Rock.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I also predict some people will never understand no one is a huge draw at the moment and there will never be another business boom like the attitude era.

humongous2002 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I also predict some people will never understand no one is a huge draw at the moment and there will never be another business boom like the attitude era. I also predict that some people should never say never since the excuse of "no one is a huge draw" means shit, if Lesnar or Orton are not huge draws like everybody else, then why shouldn't Jericho,Benoit or RVD get the same push as these two(Lesnar/Orton) just to see if they could be huge draws. haVoc 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Fine, saying "never" is wrong. Won't be another huge business boom for a while. if Lesnar or Orton are not huge draws like everybody else, then why shouldn't Jericho,Benoit or RVD get the same push as these two just to see if they could be huge draws. I don't know. Want me to call Vince and ask him?

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 1. Wrong. He doesn't "I'm gonna start what I finished."? He's laying the seeds for RRR's "Funaki - Scientist From the Future" storyline. His name isn't actually Orton, it's O-Tron, a wrestling cyborg created by Funaki & sent to the past.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted January 15, 2004 The problem with hiring the random hoss # 472382 other than the obvious is that the indys have like no heavyweights (much less super heavyweights) in development other than Abyss and he's contracted to TNA right? And with OVW evidentally out of them to call up, where is WWE going to find any of them?

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Where did they find Brock? *marks out for "Funaki: Scientist from the Future" reference*
Guest Goodear Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Beats me... but obviously they haven't found a whole many more Hosses there or they would be in OVW as we speak. And damn if they can find more Hosses like Brock, no reasonable person would be complaining about them.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I'm just saying "outside wrestling" is the answer. Basketball, Amateur Wrestling, MMA, Football.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Brock signed with them fresh out of amatuer wrestling and they sent him to OVW to groom him. He's a 100% WWE project. If I remember right, him signing with the WWE shocked a lot of sports people since Brock was supposedly going to be a member of TEAM USA in wrestling with a great shot at winning the gold medal. I should have kept that damn press release.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 The Socratic Method: Teaching by Asking Instead of by Telling Didn't really care for an answer to be honest, but I do wonder why the WWE hasn't brought in anyone else like Brock. Gerry Brisco is supposedly the one scouting the amateur ranks and JR goes on about the future of wrestling being in that area. They've had a year-and-a-half to find guys. haVoc 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 The next step is finding big guys in law enforcement. Police, security, body guards, etc. Guys straight out of the Military. People who are trained in martial arts and strong hold shoots. Guys who could rip your shoulder out of socket and tie your arms and legs around your head if you ever attacked the President. Taker said in "WWE Unscripted" he wouldn't be shocked if with in the next ten years wrestling will get more stiff and becomes more of an off shoot from MMA and UFC. People want things to be more reality based.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 They were signed around the same time - I'm talking about after Brock became "successful" in 2002. Benjamin was signed and in OVW by then.
