Guest Goodear Report post Posted January 15, 2004 The thing about cruiserweights is quite simply what they have in skills, they lack in personality (which makes the misuse of Spanky all the more puzzling). So you're never going to see Ultimo pushed really heavy in WWE since he's kind of bland in the crowd interaction department if he's not given 15-20 minutes. Being Demi-Hoss allows you to have some Hossian qualities that the Almighty Hosser, Vince, loves. More or less Jericho is just to freaking good for Vince to hold down. That's about all I got. He's obviously the most pushed of the really mini-cruisers since he's actually beaten heavyweights a time or two and even against Lesnar isn't squashed. Well he's squashed in that Lesnar eventually gets a hold of him and tosses him 800 feet in the air. But he gets way more offense than like any other cruiserweight would. Not that I'm saying he should be up in the heavyweight division, but they should maybe start pushing the division beyond evil Knoble and Tajiri. I also think they can get more out of the cruiserweight division than they are but they need to use Nunzio as a more serious threat and try to get Moore over as a psuedo-Hardy risktaker. I just can't imagine Ultimo ever fitting in and I can make no comments about London since I've amanged to miss every time he's ever been on SD! since it only happened once. Remember when the feds indicted him in 92 all of a sudden Bret and Shawn, 2 small guys became the top stars pushed, and most of the midcard was pretty average/smallish guys as well. Big roided up guys like Bulldog and Warrior were released. Hogan came back smaller and was soon pushed out in favor of a new direction. What ever happened to that story out of Tampa with the steroid doctor with names of "very well known wrestlers?" Perhaps, history will repeat itself...
