NoCalMike Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Yeah I know, not original, but damn this looks funny....... http://media.warnerbros.com/wbmovies/stars...i/trailer_a.mov
2GOLD Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 "Hey there little fella...you ok?" I liked it.
Mik Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Owen Wilson is my favorite actor, has been ever since Bottle Rocket. I have been waiting for this movie for over a year. I am pleased.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Who's playing Huggy Bear, I can't remember.
Damaramu Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Who's playing Huggy Bear, I can't remember. Snoop Dogg.........
Guest El Satanico Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Yes...that's who I thought it was. Owen Wilson and Snoop Dogg...it's a must see
Mik Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Yes...that's who I thought it was. Owen Wilson and Snoop Dogg...it's a must see Not to mention Vince Vaughn. Don't know if he's on your favorite list, but I think he's great at playing the "Double-down Trent" character, which he loosely plays in every movie, but it still works. Will Ferrell has a cameo as well.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Damn Vince Vaughn too and Will Ferrel has been good in all of his small film roles. Who's playing Owen Wilson's partner again.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Now I remember why I considered this a must see when I saw the trailer a month or so ago.
DangerousDamon Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 This movie looks awesome. Man, there are some awesome movies coming out this year.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Saw it today! Go check it out! One of the funniest movies I've seen in a LONG time. Stiller and Wilson is great as always and Snoop is surprisingly really good and plays a pretty nifty role, but I won't spoil it.. I was basicly laughing the whole time. 8/10.
Slayer Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Man, there are some awesome movies coming out this year. Hopefully this year will make up for the cornocopia of shit Hollywood put out last year
RavishingRickRudo Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 S&H was good, but not better than Old School and Zoolander. But if you're a fan of those movies, you'll really like this one because there's a _ton_ of references and in-jokes that you'll get. It's a fun movie, Farrell steals the show, there's a lot of LOL moments but not a lot of belly laughs.
Guest HHH123007 Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I saw it last week. Once you get past the blah opening 15-20 minutes it gets really funny.....the part where Will Ferrell comes in is where it starts the laughs.

Off-topic: Anybody have a clue why they released the "Starksy and Hutch" videogame last year instead of NOW? -=Mike
C Dubya 04 Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Damn. I thought this came out this Friday. I've been impatiently waiting since the first trailor I saw for it.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Damn. I thought this came out this Friday. I've been impatiently waiting since the first trailor I saw for it. Well, it's like this. I believer a very select few theaters have Starsky and Hutch (or atleast they did for a night) about a week ago. The movie is also already online (wink wink). But yeah, it does open nation wide friday.

It's a really good trailer. 8/10.
Fökai Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 *BUMP*. Nationwide release was today, went out to see it tonight. I'd put this movie above Zoolander and Old School, but that's a bit biased because I couldn't sit through OS the first time I watched it. In my mind, Snoop was the highlight of the film. I'd give it a strong ***1/2 out of five. ...there's a lot of LOL moments but not a lot of belly laughs. Seconded.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Really, really funny. A shitload of belly laughs from me and my theater - sold out college kids. Good times for everyone. Small roles for "Earl" and his dragons as well as the Bat Mitzvah singer had me nearly shitting myself. I shan't spoil anything beyond that.
Mole Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Hmm, I might have to see this move this week. Todd Phillips is a good director.
Damaramu Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 I've never seen Zoolander and I was laughing at a lot at Starsky and Hutch. Does watching Zoolander make some of this stuff funnier?
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Not really. I think you get more out of seeing Old School first, actually, despite it not featuring either of these guys.
Guest Flyboy Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Ben Stiller's "DO IT"s and Will Farrell in the prison stole the whole movie.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Does this movie have a lot of in-jokes from the show? Is it like a movie for people that were fans of the show, or does that not even enter into the equation?
Damaramu Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Does this movie have a lot of in-jokes from the show? Is it like a movie for people that were fans of the show, or does that not even enter into the equation? I've never watched the show but I'm sure it does. I mean all movies like this do.
