Selma Blair To Play Lois Lane In Superman?

More rumors...

At a convention to promote Hellboy, Selma Blair stated that she is very close to landing a role in Superman. This would back rumors that she will play Lois Lane.

Nick Cage is out as Superman, don't know who's replacing him but that's what they said on E! awhile back

^I agree, you'll not find a guy right now who looks like Clark Kent/Superman more than Tom Welling

If Selma Blair is playing Lois Lane you can count me out of watching that movie ever. She is by far one of the ugliest twigs in hollywood. Just her ugly face and skinny body already ruined Cruel Intentions to me.

Let the Smallville cast grow up and then start production on the Superman movie. Welling has the best look out of anyone I've seen who has been rumored to be Supes. Imagine if he was about 20 - 30 pounds heavier (muscle) and had a clean hair cut. He'd be the spitting image of what Superman should look like.

Personally I'd like to see Angelina Jolie play Lois (she's only 2 years older than Welling) since she can "act" neurotic very well. Lois was always played off in the comics as being older than Supes so that would work. Keep Kreuk around as Lana.

Or have her play Wonder Woman. Either way, get her away from the Tomb Raider movies.

I like Smallville as it is...but Tom Welling isn't a great actor by any means. He's great for the Smallville role, but for a big budge deal like this I'd pass.

And I like Selma Blair.

I think Tom is just like David Boreanaz. When they both started out, they weren't so good at acting. Tom will follow that suit.

Kutcher, Henderson Still Rumored For Superman

It's more Superman rumors!

MovieHole.net reports that Martin Henderson (Torque) is still being considered for a role in the new Superman movie.

MTV is also reporting that Ashton Kutcher still has interest in the movie's lead role.

McG is also rumored to be back on board as director.

Beyonce & Johnny Depp In Superman?!

Rumors are a flyin'...

AintItCool.com reports that Beyonce Knowles is now being considered for the role of Lois Lane, while Johnny Depp is being considered for the role of Lex Luthor in the new Superman movie. Obviously the key word here is RUMORS. Don't put too much weight in this....

The biggest question that needs to be asked is: Will we ever SEE this movie? How many years has it been since we all first heard about it, way back when James Cameron was trying to put the idea across?

Why do we need a new Superman anyways? The Donner one wasn't that long ago and it was good. It seems all WB can do is make Batman or Superman. We'll probably never see a Green Lantern movie.

Thank you. I'm so sick of WB just wanting to make Batman and Superman, we've already got great movies out of those heros it's time to move on. With today's effects I'd kill for a Green Lantern or Flash movie.

Say with you will about Marvel but, at least they're willing to make movies of other heros besides Spiderman and X-Men. Hard to believe at one time that DC had hit movies while Marvel couldn't catch a break with their movies.

Selma Blair would fit more of a Margot Kidder type than Teri Hatcher as far as Lois Lanes go.

And I'd pay to see a GL movie, but of course they've got a lot of shit to sort out there. I'd prefer Hal, but of course that would give you a different GL in three different mediums. Heck, you could feature a different GL each movie. Go from Hal, to John Stewart, to Guy Gardner, to Kyle Rayner. That'd be interesting...
