I'm a bit surprised, but not that surprised about it. He fell into the trap of threatening Simon, which the audience doesn't really care for.

 

Speaking of which, I know that Simon is supposed to be the "evil" judge, but what's with the other judges, Seacrest and the (prompted) live audience getting on him? The guy is trying to give some constructive criticism.

He was the right one to get eliminated. The only reason he made it this far was because he was the "Funny Charismatic" guy. Thing is, Fantasia has trumped him in both those catagories so now he is just there.

 

Blonde haired guy is next. George and John will be the last suvivors for the males.

The other judges and Ryan like to make themselves look good by bashing Simon. They are too scared to give their own true opinions when someone sucks so they say stupid shit like "I wasn't feeling it" or "it was a bit pitchy". Whereas Simon says exactly what he feels like "I was bored to tears" or "pack your bags". And to top it off, when Randy and Paula say they didn't like the performance in their weak little talk, they will still get on Simon when he blasts the performance, just so that the singer and the fans think that they were on the side of the singer and that Simon is the only one that didn't like them.

 

The best part of the show is when Ryan and Simon shoot on each other. Simon loves blasting Ryan as nothing more than a teeny-bopper wannabe who just likes to see himself on tv and sometimes makes innuendo that he's gay. Ryan likes to shoot back as well. Most of the times Ryans shots come off as scripted but sometimes you can see he's shooting.

Ryan's problem is that he can't ad-lib as well as Simon, so more often than not he comes off looking worse than before.

 

Pen Guy should survive next week. Camille Velasco got a temporary reprieve, but on AI, cute <> votes, and two consecutive weak performances are going to hurt her.

 

Apparently the voters "got" Diana Whatshername about as much as I did. I guess Simon was right - great singer, but no connection with the audience.

 

If I could choose a theme for next week, I'd say something that conveys the message "Jack Bauer is a bad ass", like classic metal:

 

"And here's John Stevens singing... 'Iron Man'"...

I think JPL has the voice to pull it off. I, however, am skeptical about his judgement in picking songs.

Man, I like Mo-town as much as a cracker like me can, but fucking shit did that suck. Fantasia continues to own, Latoya was disappointing (not bad, just not great), I greatly overestimated the two white boys, and George is always fun to watch. And Amy does look a bit like Jay Leno. They did a really bad job in booking the show, however, by putting all the people you knew would do well at the end and the fish-out-of-water first.

I heard a clip of our boy this morning, and it was not good. But apparently only Fantasia, Jasmine and George were good anyways.

 

Still, John could be out tonight. The thing is that in order to succeed he HAS to put on at least a 3 star performance every time, while remaking a song to fit him. It's still at a point where popularity can be a difference maker (meaning that I think that Camille will go) but he's gotta step it up.

The dude just doesn't have the vocal strength to over power the music. He has a nice voice, no doubt, if he is singing to da laydees~! ear or something, and he could probably come out with a nice album, in that Harry Connick Junior kind of way, but he isn't a performer because he is such a soft singer.

Did they edit something out last night when that fan shouted something at Simon? On the West Coast show, as Simon was blasting someone, a fan yelled something then they played the going to commercial music and cut out. Just wondering if the actual live feed had something different.

The bottom 3 was completely wrong and it won't be a fun AI if the diehard fangirls of JPL and John pull double time each week even when they suck ass.

Yeah, that results show was heinous. I can see why people like John and JPL (even if at least ONE of them should have been down there, likely John, instead of LaToya), but what the fuck does CAMILLE have to offer?

How the hell did Camile make it and not get the bottom 3? She was probably one of the worst singers for these past 2 weeks. You could hardly hear her over the music, yet Amy has been doing good the past couple of weeks and she makes it? And John Stevens did a terrible job. He really didn't sing that song well. I say next week we see the end of either Camille or John Stevens.

 

I'd be really suprised tho if JPL gets booted off. Not because I think he's talented, but cuz he's a "pretty boy" who appeals to the teenage girls.

I only lumped Camille and Jasmine together because they are both from Hawaii. Jasmine is actually a pretty good singer and everyone seems to like her. Camille is nervous and her voice doesn't seem strong enough and yet she keeps getting voted through.

She's been there twice like Amy. Bottom threes don't really mean anything...look at Kim Locke and Trenyce who were both in the bottom 3 and even 2 many times.

 

Hudson is better than Camile, she should stay long than her and John Stevens.

I wish they would vote for who goes rather than who stays. You're supposed to vote for who is best, and while their might be 3 good ones, the middle of the pack ones don't get as many votes, but the shitty ones have people trying to save them by voting for them which keeps them in longer than they should be.
