Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 Am I the only one who believes that Randy Orton is the future of the industry, and should be pushed to the moon? Let's look at current favourites on this board. -RVD; Inconsidate Jerk who has publicly stated his desire to quit the WWE. And yet, some people here think the WWE is wrong to bury him. -Booker T: Inconsiderate Jerk who has publicly stated his desire to retire, and yet, some people believe it was wrong for HHH to bury him. -Chris Benoit. Falling Apart at the seams. Unlike Orton, won't be wrestling in five years( neither will RVD or Booker) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am I the only one who believes that Orton is the first "Package" of looks, charisma, in ring talent and know how to come through since The Rock. Of course I am, since everyone here goes "Hey, Vince, Push New People" Vince does so, and pushes the immensely talented and charismatic Randy Orton. and then, all,Vince ets is "No, Not Him" NO WONDER VKM hates you people. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am the only one who believes that Bob Holly - Brock Lesnar will be a decent, stiff match? Of course I am, because most people here can't, again, see that this is another attempt by VKM to give someone different a main event spot - and you people shit on it. Again, another reason why VKM hates us. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am I the only one who truly accepts that cruiserweights have ano future in the WWE, and have DEALT WITH IT, and moved on. I'd rather watch HHH-HBK than Rey "I only do the same five spots every match" Mysterio vs Who Cares. That's another one - You lot demand WRESTLING - HHH-HBK give it to you, and you still shit all over it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just some things I had to get off my chest - there'll probably be more - I'm going to the Puro Forum
The Metal Maniac Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Am the only one who believes that Bob Holly - Brock Lesnar will be a decent, stiff match? No. I don't expect a 4-star classic, but I do think it'll be a decent, brutal little match. Am I the only one who truly accepts that cruiserweights have ano future in the WWE, and have DEALT WITH IT, and moved on. Nope.

That's another one - You lot demand WRESTLING - HHH-HBK give it to you, and you still shit all over it. Its because I'm sick to death of Clique-amania.
razazteca Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 The only good thing about Randy Orton are the political commercials with the voice of the NFL Films guy. Everything else is substandard.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Am I the only one who truly accepts that cruiserweights have ano future in the WWE, and have DEALT WITH IT, and moved on. Nope. Thanks - I expect a ton of shit over it. My problem is with the ones who go "Spanky would have stayed if VKM had pushed him right." How exactly, should he have been pushed then - and I just know someone is gonna say he should be in Bob Holly's spot. Never gonna happen kids. EVER
Guest Anglesault Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Am I the only one who believes that Orton is the first "Package" of looks, charisma, in ring talent and know how to come through since The Rock. Well, he has one of those. Vince does so, and pushes the immensely talented and charismatic Randy Orton The WHAT? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA .... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. VKM to give someone different a main event spot - and you people shit on it. He gave it to guy who has earned nothing.

Dumbfuck, nobody likes them, they just don't like HHH. You suck, you don't know the most basic of facts, and you claim to be a journalist but you have no sense of grammar or punctuation. Shut the fuck up, if you want to be an "anti-smark" for lack of a better term JUST TO DO IT, take it somewhere else because nobody cares. If you actually had reasons other than "yeah he sucks you all suck omg k im an journalist d00d he dsucks you smarks suck" maybe people would listen to you. You don't.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Its because I'm sick to death of Clique-amania. Deal with it. As long as they are putting out the quality of the matches they have - I'm happy. That's not their fault. No, its not. My problem is with the people who want them pushed in spite of these faults, Van Dam in particular. The only good thing about Randy Orton are the political commercials with the voice of the NFL Films guy. Everything else is substandard. You know what, thats what we said about RNN. Thats dead, he's still here - and he's still being pushed

2GOLD Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Randy Orton IS the total package...as in the Total Package Lex Luger. Works nicely with RVD though.
geniusMoment Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 I can tell you one thing, you are the only person who thinks a Janes Addiction album should be album of the year. Am I the only one who thinks Janes Addiction sucks?

I like HHH, or at the very least, know that - he's on top, Jericho isn't, and have DEALT WITH IT. Is that really rude attack because or don't like Teddy Anus? Or Cruisers in general??? He gave it to guy who has earned nothing. And yet what did Spanky do to deserve the push he should have got??? I like stiff power bases heavyweight matches - and Holly-Lesnar is gonna be that. God help me because I have an opinion!!!
Tawren Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 I can tell you one thing, you are the only person who thinks a Janes Addiction album should be album of the year. Am I the only one who thinks Janes Addiction sucks? No. No you are not.
Dandy Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Spanky and London should have at least been off Velocity and get a few non-title tag matches to see if they caught on. That's not unreasonable at all.
The Metal Maniac Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 He gave it to guy who has earned nothing. While I can understand the argument that he hasn't earned a world title shot, there's a world of difference between nothing and the world title. I refuse to believe that a man who gave Vince ten years of his life, and put in the kind of effort Holly did at times (Say what you will about his wrestling talent, but a guy who can break his arm and keep going deserves at least some respect for it) earned NOTHING. Did he earn a world title shot? Probably not. Does that mean that he didn't earn or deserve anything? Hell no.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Am I the only one who thinks Janes Addiction sucks? No, I know loads of people who think that my iPod sucks balls So lets all cheer for him and forget that he fucking sucks! YAY! Is this because Teddy Anus doesn't have a job and Orton does? God, based on sheer blown spots - RVD/Anus would be friggin hilarious. Randy Orton IS the total package...as in the Total Package Lex Luger. Works nicely with RVD though. Except, Orton seemed to be doing most of the work. RVD's like AMW, once they know theyre jobbing, they decide not to play along
2GOLD Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Bob is getting a title shot that will re-establish Brock as a stiff badass monster. I have no likes or dislikes about Bob. And isn't he the same guy that took an Anglesault with a broken arm? Cause if he is, he can have the title shot.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Spanky and London should have at least been off Velocity and get a few non-title tag matches to see if they caught on. That's not unreasonable at all. The last (and only) time Paul London was on SD, the crowd was DEAD. Which tells me a lot. SpankyLondons decency on Velocity can be attributed to Haas and Benjamin or the Bashams, both products of the developmental system, being better workers Ironic, I hate Jim Cornette, but think OVW Rocks
The Metal Maniac Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 And isn't he the same guy that took an Anglesault with a broken arm? Cause if he is, he can have the title shot. Actually, it was the moonsault that broke his arm, but he got back up and finished the match anyway.

Orton is in his early 20's and he's becoming pretty good. If he stays healthy, he going to be one of the top guys on raw for the next 20 years. You all will get used to him eventually. Lesnar got a ton of hate on here before his match with the Rock. The same things people are saying about Randy, they said about Lesnar. You be hardpressed to find anyone with at least half a brain that thinks Lesnar sucks nowadays. Randy just needs that one opportunity to shine on a large scale main event level. On the flip side, I honestly believe that Lesnar/Holly is going to be either mediocre or completely suck. Nobody buys Holly as a credible threat, which will effect the match in the sense that the crowd will either be completely dead or shit all over it from the gate. Since RR is in Philly, expect the shit to fly. Rey Misterio/Tajiri/Noble/UD are pretty entertaining IMO. They should be allowed their time to shine because they deserve it. I thought HHH Vs HBK was a great match and their Rumble match should be pretty good too. The last HHH last man standing match that I can remember was IMO one of the best matches of 2000. So I think he has a pretty good grasp of how such a match should be layed out.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Bob is getting a title shot that will re-establish Brock as a stiff badass monster. I have no likes or dislikes about Bob. And isn't he the same guy that took an Anglesault with a broken arm? Cause if he is, he can have the title shot. The Anglesault broke his arm - he still finished the match.
Dandy Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 He didn't take it with a broken arm, it is what gave him the broken arm. He did finish the match as someone said. In my opinion, they messed up when he initially came back from that, as Angle was getting hot, and Holly could have been elevated a little. He wrestled something like two matches where he used the steel plate in his arm to find a victory. It seemed like they were setting that up as his ace in the hole that he discovered by accident, and a move that he could pull a victory out of nowhere with, but they just dropped it and let him run in circles until he broke his neck a couple years later.
Tawren Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 So lets all cheer for him and forget that he fucking sucks! YAY! Is this because Teddy Anus doesn't have a job and Orton does? God, based on sheer blown spots - RVD/Anus would be friggin hilarious. What the fuck? I hate RVD and HART. That's right, HART. Just because you know his last name "OMG ANNIS HAHAHAHA" does NOT make you smart, cool, inventive, or popular, or neat. Seeing as I was the guy Teddy punched anyways, I really doubt I like him. The last (and only) time Paul London was on SD, the crowd was DEAD. Which tells me a lot. And hmm...could that have been because it was his non-hyped debut where everyone knew he would lose and Brock got all the offense? Nah.
razazteca Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Until the day Randy Orton can carry Mark Henry to a MOTY he has not proven anything yet.
Styles Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Ahh, now the WWE folder people can see what I had to deal with in the TNA folder... Oh, and just so this isn't +1, I'll agree to an extent that Orton gets a lot more crap than he deserves, and that he likely will be the next big WWE star, but it is clearly because of his connections and push rather than any talent of his own...
Lil' Bitch Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 As long as they are putting out the quality of the matches they have - I'm happy. Good for you, but I don't want to see HHH / HBK Episode # 2365249759, thanks. No, its not. My problem is with the people who want them pushed in spite of these faults, Van Dam in particular. Well, you do know that if they were, you know, PUSHED, there wouldn't be those faults now would there? I like HHH, or at the very least, know that - he's on top, Jericho isn't, and have DEALT WITH IT. Has it ever come across your mind that some people don't want to do that? Am I the only one who believes that Orton is the first "Package" of looks, charisma, in ring talent and know how to come through since The Rock. Orton's okay, but my problem is he's not the Messiah of the WWE that Vince wants fans to believe.
2GOLD Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Actually, I liked Brock when he first came. I thought they were pushing him too fast but the guy had a look about him. He wasn't Lex clone 2.0 and at least they kept the mic away from Brock till he sorta learned to talk. Orton's look is "duh, I have muscles" or "hey, I'm handsome" or "That's right, Luger is in the house."
Tawren Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 (edited) Until the day Randy Orton can carry Mark Henry to a *********** match, he has not proven anything. Hell, if he could get Chris Benoit to a DUD I'd be happy. Edited January 20, 2004 by AlwaysPissedOff

Guest Dids Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Dave, you know next to nothing about Teddy Hart- and the only person in this thread who has mentioned his name was you. Booker talked about retiring in like 2 years from now. The notion that he's a dick because he wanted to leave when he turned 40 is just plain stupid.
