Stone Cold Truth DVD

Recommended Posts

As usual, ripped from Silvervision. Only 3 matches announced for it, but it does say "Plus More" so who knows.

Stone Cold Steve Austin will tell his won story, in his own words, in his own unique style. Travel all the way to England to hear the Texas Rattlesnake's two daughters Stephanie and Cassidy, on Stone Cold the dad. Journey with the Rattlesnake back to his home of Edna, Texas for the first time, this notoriously private man opens his world to you. Plus his Mom, Dad, brothers and sister discuss just how a young, polite and shy Steve Williams turned into Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Get candid cmments on just how the Texas Rattlesnake felt about Owen Hart before and after taking the piledriver that nearly left the Rattlesnake paralyzed, and ended it all, before the Stone Cold phenomenom ever took off.

DVD Extras:

WCW: Team Tag Championship Match

Hollywood Blondes vs. Arn Anderson & Ric Flair

Clash of the Champions XXIII 6.17.1993

ECW: The Promos, plus

Steve Austin vs. Mikey Whipwreck

November 2 Remember 11.18.1995

WWE: Debut match as Ringmaster.

Plus post-show “off-the-air” footage.

Family interviews & stories.

Plus much more.

.. now where the hell is the Confidential Volume 2 info?

Yeah, I just got the specs on this at work the other day, and that one match is my incentive to take a copy home. I managed to get a perfect quality Clash featuring that match off Ebay for $5 a few years back, but if I can get my hands on Blondes footage in DVD form, I'm taking it.

I liked the filler piece that was on UPN, so if that's on there, I'm fine. Plus, maybe have Austin/Hart and Austin/Steamboat and I'll be set.

I never saw that UPN special but I heard it was rather good, but I'm still not sure about this one. Moreso, I've never even heard about them releasing an Austin DVD until this thread came along. There was no mention of this DVD on previous upcoming releases lists IIRC. They mentioned Rock's Greatest Hits, and Confidential vol. 2 for release in the next few weeks, where are the details on these ones?

And BTW, when is this DVD due to be released in the US?

Depends on the price

20 or more? Don't make me laugh

15 or more? Eh, still not worth it

Less than 15? I'd think about it and probably not buy it.

The UPN special was good, but I can't see myself paying more than 10 dollars for it.

I'm confident "Rock's Greatest Hits" was some sort of typo or error or idea they had that changed. I say this because the calendar that came with No Mercy said it was released yesterday.. but yesterday was the official release of Foley's DVD, ALSO called Greatest Hits (and misses). I don't know if that's just coincidence.

You're probably right on the Rock's DVD. But the Confidential vol.2 has been announced for quite some time, and it's weird we still have no info on it yet.

As far as pricing goes, I checked amazon.com and it's listed as a single disc with a single-disc price, but still with a nice 30% discount for pre-orders. Release date February 10th, along with the Monday Night War DVD (same price, same discount). BTW, it IS listed as Monday Night War, not Rise and Fall...

And as far as the extras goes, if the Main piece is only 1 hour long, then isn't it logical to assume two hours worth of extras? The estras listed might not be the only ones. Hopefully more goodies will come.

They really need to make one of the Flair/Shawn Michaels DVD's with all matches for Austin. He is the best wrestler they can do it for as they have stuff from almost the start of his career in WCW (missing the year he spent in Texas), ECW, and WWE footage. A ton of variety in the good matches they good put on a 2 or 3 DVD set like that.

This one doesn't look too hot. The WCW tag match is good, but not great nor as good as it could have been. Solid, but not a classic. The Whipwreck match isn't anything special and I would imagine the Ringmaster debut match is a nothing match, but cool for historical purposes.

I'm sure down the line they will be doing the Austin DVD ala Flair...It's too much of a No -Brainer to do.

So what wwe needs to do

Austin DVD Comp

Flair Vol. 2

The "Excellence", The Best of Bret Hart Comp

Classic PPVs (already got WM1&2 and RR 90 on the way)

I'll pass on this DVD. I already have the tag match, and the main feature isn't that great.

Definitely picking it up with the lack of UPN coverage here (misssed the main feature). The matches and promos that come with the DVD don't hurt, either.
