Zack Malibu Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 You know the dilly. I've gotta finish reading the show first, because we got some Loooooong matches/skits this time around. Looks like a great effort though.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Holy crap Zack, I love you. That promo friggin ruled. I should just let other people (that means you too, Hoff) write for me, because you're damn good at it. 9.
Dr. Zoidberg Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Why was there no Ragdoll/Calvin II? Other than that disappointment, great show. Feedback on TNT v. Money/Crystal would be appreciated. Show gets a 9
Chuck Woolery Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 The PPV will answer all of your questions in a big way. Look forward to it.
Hoff Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 I'd say 10, I loved it to death, all the promos were spot-on. Also, thank you for hte praise Supes. Definitely a great show though.
KingPK Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 9 from me. The Superstar/Zack promo was good shit, and it looks like all the Palooza matches will be exciting. My match was a Half Hour Special, which explains the brevity, and why I didn't give a 10.
Zack Malibu Posted January 23, 2004 Author Report Posted January 23, 2004 After reading, I'm going with a nine as well. Ken, the Calvin/Rags match not being on the show is part of the worked angle with the Hollywood forces, as well as a lead-in to something at the Rumble. Sly stole the show with that AWESOME tag match. Hell, I created the GPX due to the shortage on teams that we've had, and he's done a better job of getting them over than even I could have done. Great work, as he again delivers in spades. Papacita's first defense was just fine, PK. Speaking of...Adam also delivered some quality this week, as an Axel/Gunner alliance can only help the tag situation, and he built to this Sunday's X match quite nicely. Thanks for the kind words on the Zack/SS promo. Going into the show, SS and I knew the points we wanted to get across, but honestly, the promo was only half-written when I started posting the show, and I winged the rest during posting. I just let the idea we had flow, and I'm glad I impressed.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Huss-ha, thanks for the kind words, Zachary. I thought my match was a little short, considering I threw in two hot tag spots, but eh, woe is me. Show gets an 8 from me. Really good build to the PPV, as always, and I dug the whole "forced to get along" combustable element in the Matt & AJ/Minions tag match.
Adam Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 Top show guys, Im going a 9. I think I could have done the 'forced to get along' a little more though. Other than that, awesome show, especially Sly's stuff and that promo with Superstar and Zack. That was awesome.
Damaramu Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 No praise or criticism for me? *whimpers*
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I know I'm new to this and I haven't done anything thus far but... I noticed alot of typos, maybe its just picky me but I noticed it. Then there was this The crowd is somewhat unfamiliar with this music, as Gunner Sharps makes his way down to ringside, microphone in hand. Cole: Well this should be interesting guys. Coach: You damn right Michael; I want to know what’s going through Gunner’s mind! Gunner hops on the apron and steps over the top rope with ease. The 7 foot, three hundred and fifty pound monster grabs a microphone from an official and brings it to his lips He came to the ring with one...was it faulty? I also noticed early in the show Crystal was decimated in a tag match taking what appeared to be numerous hard core bumps...yet later on she freely runs to the ring and clears it out. Where's the continuity? There's my thoughts

Then me writing my match and the part where she clears the ring out and not knowing when it's going to go on or what's going to happen in that tag match. Get used to it. It happens a lot.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Maybe something new can occur where if they plan on using another person's character for a run-in or some shit like that they just go and ask in PM if they will be able to do so. Or whomever edits and puts the whole show together can see that happened and then alter it a tad...like Crystal no longer runs down but she slowly makes her way down to the ring, one arm pressed against her ribs as she favors them and the other holding a foreign object. Then heel Damaramu man could slowly back out of the ring with a smug grin just taunting her with it because she can't get to him until the match. I'm not trying to step on anybody's toes, just giving suggestions
CanadianChick Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I agree FS, good suggestions. It can be hard though, with more than one person writing each show and more than one person using the same character.
Chuck Woolery Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 The few times (two?) I've put together shows I've tried to preserve continuity, and while it's a bit of a burden it's not too much to ask. Still, it'd be easier if the writers of the different segments found out what the situation would be at the point in the show their promo would happen. Aesop From Hell.

Sorry.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 No need to appologise at all Dama-man, as I said I am new and I don't wanna come across as stepping on toes. I'm just asking these things because I am a competative person and since there are two brands I would like to make people come over to this one more than the other for entertainment. I look at it as fun but at the same time its a nice challenge to see how many people I myself can attract and to see how I can help to make it better.
Chuck Woolery Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Frigid, if you're looking for a challenge in bringing one brand to glory, I'd suggest going over to IZ.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 It should also be noted that this is the oaoast, which started (and in some ways still is) as a parody e-fed. We tend to not pigeon-hole everything that happens. People are here to have fun.

Hank Kingsley Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Well, I wasn't saying that you *shouldn't* point things out (ie, the thing you brought up will probably lead to people confirming angles later and whatnot) but we just don't do it too often.
