Which candidate is for you...

Recommended Posts

I'm surprised one of the people I refuse to vote for is my number one candidate.

Same here. I dislike Sharpton heavily. He's not quite in Hillary territory, but still...

If anyone is curious, I didn't click anything in the party affiliation box. I also mostly supported the Iraqi war. Must have been the social issues that got me.

Ditto.

It makes no sense to me. How could I get those results despite being a conservative Republican?

4 Clark Score: 92%

5 Dean Score: 89%

6 Kucinich Score: 79%

I would never... NEVER vote for Sharpton. Unless Hitler is running against him and even then it's a maybe.

Kucinich - 100%

Kerry - 96%

Sharpton - 91% (It must have been the SNL appearance, it must have been)

Dean - 88%

Clark - 88%

Edwards - 86%

Lieberman - 75%

I haven't made up my mind, but I do like Kerry, so if he is the candidate to go against Bush, he will get my vote. But if it is Dean, I am voting third party... that meltdown to end all meltdowns, really scares me. Our leader should show a lil passion, but that scream was not human.

For the record, I oppose the death penalty. Let them suffer.

Wow chave, we agree on something.

Sure, allow them to suffer by forming friendships, getting visits from the outside world, cable TV, sports teams and weight training and other recreations and in some cases probation. Fuck that. If you willingly take another life you don't deserve to live and I don't want any of my tax dollars going to maintaining any type of standard of living for you.

No offense, but I don't see why people vote third party. A third party will NEVER win, so why vote for them?

If enought people vote 3rd party.... guess what happens Mole?

That's right.

I know, I know. I just can't see it happening anytime soon.

Nader was a pretty popular candidate, but he didn't even get that 1% vote so the Green Party would get money from the Gov't. It is 1% vote, correct?

I read that Nader won't run again for President, but if were to run and Dean got the Dem. nod, then there would be no way Dean would win.

Yeah I just figured that out looking at the numbers from previous years.

2000:

Bush - 48.4%

Gore - 49%

Nader - 3%

1996:

Clinton - 50.1%

Dole - 41.4%

Perot - 9%

1992:

Clinton - 43.3%

Bush - 38%

Perot - 19%

I was too young to remember this, but did Perot get money since he got 19% of the vote in 92? And then again in 96?

I'm a Democrat so I just chose them

Oddly enough, Bush got 100%  :(

Yes and yes.

They lost it in 2000 when the Reform party nominated Pat Buchanan.

Now I realize the fact that I'm a social liberal is going to artificially inflate some Dems' scores, but cone on. SHARPTON over Bush? That's just ridiculous.

You're talking about after the 2000 election, right? That's why him and that hippie guy were in a fight over who was the TRUE reformer -- to waste federal cash.

God, those Pat B. radio ads were terrible. I guess Ohio must have been a popular Pat state or something...

Yeah, but Kucinich scares me (and I'm a pretty liberal guy). He actually wants to pull out of Iraq RIGHT AWAY. I can deal with people who didn't support the war (a lot of them I'm friends with) but pulling out right away is just crazy. I disagree with Sharpton about Affirmative Action and HATE how he pulls the "race card," but other than that he isn't too bad, IMO.

Ditto.

It's weird. Conservatives today are much more liberal than they were even five years ago. Or, maybe the poll just rates social issues too highly.

I'm suspicious over Kerry getting so many 100% scores.

Well it IS a AOL News (CNN) and Time website. Bias? I wouldn't rule it out.

Could be. Democrats may jump off the Dean bandwagon and onto the Kerry bandwagon now. He served in a war, so the GOP can't call him unpatriotic or a "draft dodger." He also has served in office before, unlike Clark. I could see Kerry appealing to the center.

The NRA thing rubs me the wrong way about him.

Well, I do know that Dean supports the NRA.
