LucharesuFan619 Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 XPWrestling.com for more info. $10 for a DVD/VHS is a pretty good deal, and so are the other prices. I may have to get me some stuff as a belated X-Mas present...
Corey_Lazarus Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 I might grab an old "White Trash" Johnny Webb shirt, and if they have any of the Homeless Jimmy shirts (the one with the shopping cart on it) I might snag one of those, too. What are the best XPW shows? I already have Baptized In Blood and Go Funk Yourself.
LucharesuFan619 Posted January 25, 2004 Author Report Posted January 25, 2004 What are the best XPW shows? I already have Baptized In Blood and Go Funk Yourself. Redemption, Hostile Takeover, HIH2, LOD, and BIB3 are all must haves. They're all really good, and quite frankly I'm not sure which 2 are the best. They're all really good. Exit Sandman and Fallout are about the only tapes to find their recent Philly stuff, which may never be released, so those are possibilities, too, but those 5 I mentioned are the best they have, a lot better than the two you mentioned you already have. In random news, I saw a guy with the classic Webb "Fried chicken and ass kickin" t-shirt at the 8/16 ROH show.
Youth N Asia Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 I haven't seen any recient stuff, so I can't "fairly" comment on those. But I would definatly pass on the first 6 tapes, awful stuff.
Guest bort Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 get Hostile Takeover, you cant go wrong at 10 bucks. Its got a wicked ladder match with Kaos and Hamrick and Juvi has a Juice bar segment
Guest netslob Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 i wanna get one of those Pogo the clown t-shirts...i love that gimmick
Guest Markingout Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 That ladder match with Kaos and Hamrick was a MESS. Everything was just sloppy. In the ending Hamrick could of died lucky his foot hit that table.
LucharesuFan619 Posted January 25, 2004 Author Report Posted January 25, 2004 That ladder match with Kaos and Hamrick was a MESS. Everything was just sloppy. It wasn't fantastic, but it also wasn't a mess. Some bumps never seen before in Ladder Matches. Good stuff. Just not great. Grimes' match and the MMW match is worth the price of the tape/DVD alone. The 3-way is one of the best non-ROH 3-ways the indy circuit saw in 2003, and the MMW match is absolutely fantastic, too. Juvi/Chetti is also underrated.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 I forget which show, but the Kaos/Doring match in Philly was pretty good with a hot ending. Really good match for XPW standards.
DCMaximo Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 The Kaos/ Doring match was at Fallout. It was really good, except for the bit in the middle where they made Doring look like a total fool getting outwrestled by Veronica Caine. Even more stupid when you consider Doring was the face in the match. I gave the match *** in a review I once wrote, but match of the night was definitely Super Crazy/ Psychosis
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 And not to mention the steel guard rail nearly ripping GQ Money's head off. Hey Luchafan, if you ever get the chance, ask GQ how bad he was hurt when Kaos threw him over the top rope, and he landed neck first on the guardrail.
LucharesuFan619 Posted January 26, 2004 Author Report Posted January 26, 2004 Do you know which show it was on? I didn't get the Philly TV shows, so I don't know which one it was on...I don't know if he'd know what I'm talking about, since he's taken a bunch of sick bumps before.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Fallout. Kaos vs. Doring.
SamoaRowe Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Kaos vs Doring is one of my best friend's favorite match of all time.
