How do they pull the switch without hurting Benoit or making the Rumble Win and Benoit's quest worthless?

He trades him to RAW, and Bischoff only excepts if Heyman takes Goldberg off his hands. This shit writes itself. I mean heyman can come up with some reason why Goldberg helps make smackdown more money. This might actually turn out to be interesting and let's face it either Benoit wins the WWE title at Wrestlemania or he gets to beat HHH who most of us hate. They don't push someone like this and then not have them win the title

That still wouldnt fix the problem of HBK vs Benoit at WMXX which could be billed as the a great match for the only two people to win the Rumble from number 1

By the way, Brock on RAW and HHH on SD! was the original way that the brand extension made it, that is after HHH lost the title to Hogan.

Then he can proudly lay down for Hunter.

Heymen wins by keeping Benoit from getting another shot making Benoit a big loser in all of this. Now let's do this say it was UT, Austin, HHH or Rock that was going after Brock's belt? Would they be booked to jump to RAW with their tail between their legs after Heyman said they will never get another shot at the belt? HELL NO, I mean how many times have we seen Vince say that to Austin and then Austin turns around and wins the belt.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Benoit will be forced to face an angry Spike Dudley on Smackdown this week after its revealed on RAW that Spike Dudley was never eliminated (unless he was and I didn't see it which renders this whole scenario pointless). HHH will show up and try to cost Benoit the title shot (and thus a Spike Dudley HHH match in the future..) but it backfires and Benoit wins. Benoit gets mad and wants a piece of HHH who flees back to RAW. Somehow a trade is worked out that sends Goldberg and Spike Dudley to Smackdown for Benoit, allowing for the Brock/Goldberg thing, the planned moving of Spike to Smackdown and HHH/Benoit. or not..I dont know.

I would have thought they do it to Rico since he's fucking expendable... Not to a guy they always try to sell as a tough guy... Brock and G-Berg face off before the Rumble, and then Brock F5s him. The match is definately happening. That, and Benoit gets all pissed at Evolution for interrupting his interview. The matches are happening, Benoit vs. HHH and Brock vs. Goldberg. There's no doubt now.

It would be like if towards the end of LOTR, after building Frodo up to go to Mordor, he gets shipped over to Isengard and he pushes Saruman out of a window killing him and then Return of the King ends. That being said, if booked well, it could be good, but I keep getting flashbacks of Jericho-2002 and Booker-2003. Everytime someone I like gets a WM push against HHH, it always ends up badly

Guest Choken One Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I still pray for Brock/Goldberg Eddy/Angle WWE Title HBK/Benoit World Title HHH/Rock Foley/Orton RVD/Matt Hardy IC Title Cena/TBS US Title (depending how Cenas injury severeity is) Jericho/X Mysterio/Tajiri/Dragon/Knoble CW Title WGTT/Dudleys Interpromotional Tag Match Edge/Rhyno (Edge needs a match at his return and since he is Vince's 3RD boy after Brock and Kurt, he'll feed him Heyman's Goat) and a Battle royal with the rest of the cast... I wish I could find a spot for Jericho other then X...but not against RVD for the IC though...
