Jobber of the Week Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 John Kerry 82,594 39% Howard Dean 56,353 26% Wesley Clark 26,554 12% John Edwards 25,849 12% Joe Lieberman 18,392 9% Dennis Kucinich 3,015 1% Al Sharpton 342 0% Seven states are coming up on Tuesday. Who do you think will win? My prediction: Kerry: Four states. Edwards: Two states. Clark: One state. Dean: No states. Drops out. In frightening news, Lieberman didn't drop out after pouring it all into NH and STILL winding up with his name sitting next to Dennis Kucinich.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Leave Sharpton alone, he's the comic relief. I liked when he bashed Dean for not having enough minorities in office. In Vermont.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Why won't Sharpton drop out? WHY?!?! http://www.theleftcoaster.com/archives/001103.html#more
2GOLD Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Love how Lieberman treated like he just cleaned up in NH. And then he goes on CNN and says the America public wants to vote for a man who will go after Hollywood. Ummm sorry Joe, hate to tell you this but this is the reason I WON'T vote for you. And his religious belief isn't helping, I'm sad to say.
Red Baron Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Sharpton will win more states the Howard Dean will
2GOLD Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Sharpton will win more states the Howard Dean will Is Washington DC counted as a state? Cause, he was only one of four candiates last time I heard. Or has that number went up since then?
Vern Gagne Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Dean: No states. Drops out. No way Dean drops out this soon. He's the idealogue canidate for the Dems, and won't give up until the end.
Guest JMA Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I'd say Joe's "Joementum" has just about run out.
2GOLD Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I'd say Joe's "Joementum" has just about run out. I'd like to know when he had any. Crossing over with JOHN EDWARDS had more momentum than Joe. And has anyone confused Edwards with biggest douche in the world Edwards yet? I'm sure some voter saw his name and went, "hey, I watch that guy on Sci Fi! He talks to ghosts so he MUST know the right direction for the country!" Come to think of it, Johnny boy would have a better chance if he did claim to be that John Edwards.
Youth N Asia Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Sharpton won't drop out till he's done bitching about whitey. He never stood any kind of chance to begin with, and that's all he's sticking aroud for. Dean will stick around...I can't see him going 0-7 coming up. And Kerry won't take Southern states anyway, so those are still open.
Guest Cerebus Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 So the big question is whether or not Kerry will go the way of previous NH primary winners (Tsongas, Buchanan, and McCain among others). I'd say winning the NH is more of a curse than a blessing...
Vyce Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Dean will stick around...I can't see him going 0-7 coming up. And Kerry won't take Southern states anyway, so those are still open. I can't picture Dean winning any Southern states, for much the same reasons Kerry would have a hard time with them. Dean is done. I would think most people (besides Tyler) know that by now.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I don't like any of them. But I probably dislike Edwards the least.
Jobber of the Week Posted January 28, 2004 Author Report Posted January 28, 2004 Dean: No states. Drops out. No way Dean drops out this soon. He's the idealogue canidate for the Dems, and won't give up until the end. If you can't get a first place victory in either of the opening states or Super Tuesday, you basically go home. I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that you need more than 20 year olds and 50-something former radicals in order to win! However, he does have a big enough war chest to keep going and hang out in the debates if he likes. And that talk about small money contributors is utter bullshit.
Mole Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Even though Kerry won NH, it doesn't mean too much. About 200,000 voters participated in the New Hampshire primary, easily eclipsing the record 170,000 turnout in 1992 when Paul Tsongas defeated Bill Clinton.
Guest MikeSC Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Dean: No states. Drops out. No way Dean drops out this soon. The REAL ironic thing is that Kerry is doing almost as well as Dean amongst the youth. He only loses by less than 5 points in that demographic. -=Mike ...Shall we go into BUSH'S numbers for that group?
Kahran Ramsus Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Clinton was from Arkansas. New Hampshire is in Dean's backyard, and he still performed terribly. New Hampshire was must win for Dean since he won't win in the South.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Dean has no chance in the South after the ignorant comments he made last year. Kerry's got it in the bag, the real question is if Dean pulls a Bucannon and tries to run as a 3rd party or not.
2GOLD Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 I don't like any of them. But I probably dislike Edwards the least. Any man who announces he is running for the Dems nomination on THE DAILY SHOW deserves my vote. He needs my vote. But I can't vote for him as I'm not a registered dem.

But I can't vote for him as I'm not a registered dem. You're not registered or you're a Republican? If it's the latter and youv'e got a primary, you can always write him in. Heck, Kerry got well over a thousand write-in votes from Republicans.
Jobber of the Week Posted January 29, 2004 Author Report Posted January 29, 2004 More here: BURLINGTON, Vt. - Democrat Howard Dean (news - web sites) shook up his faltering bid for the White House on Wednesday, replacing his campaign manager with a former Washington lobbyist tied to Al Gore (news - web sites). In a further sign of distress, the one-time front-runner implemented cost-cutting measures as he looked ahead to a series of costly primaries and caucuses, asking staff to defer their paychecks for two weeks. "I think you are going to see a leaner, meaner organization," Dean told reporters Thursday night. "We had geared up for what we thought would be a front-runner's campaign. It's not going to be a front-runner's campaign. It's going to be a long, long war of attrition." Dean said he wanted Roy Neel to take over office operations under the title of chief executive officer. He said he asked campaign manager Joe Trippi to stay on as a campaign strategist focused on media and Internet operations, but Trippi quit instead of accepting the demotion. L-O-Fucking-L! This guy can spin anything into something positive/victorious.

Styles Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 I don't like any of them. But I probably dislike Edwards the least. Yeah, that's just what we need a trial lawyer in charge...
Firestarter Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 My prediction: Kerry: Four states. Edwards: Two states. Clark: One state. Dean: No states. Drops out. I think I'm expecting the same thing as Jobber.

Kahran Ramsus Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Dean won't win any states, but he's too stupid to drop out.

I think I'm expecting the same thing as Jobber. I don't see any state that Clark can possibly win. And, the way it stands here, Edwards is NOT a favorite here in SC. -=Mike
Mole Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 What exactly happened to Dean? What were some of the comments he said that made him fall so far behind?
Vern Gagne Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Why would any Republican write in a vote for any of the canidates, with the exception of maybe Lieberman.
