God what a fucking tool.

The Orton boosters tend to be worse than alot of the Orton haters (Who can get bad)

I'm not sure what you mean, but let's look at this fairly.

Orton Haters say that Orton's bad matches are far greater than his supposedly good matches.

They also say that he has less heat than the Women's Champion (No knock on Molly)

Both are very true.

Orton supporters say that he's gotten a little better and he at least seems to be trying out there.

Both are very true.

But I think the haters' points make more of a case as to why he should have his push killed than the supporters make for it.

I wonder if there's anyone on the board who will say "Orton is good" and actually mean it.

I mean...the Orton supporters really only say "he's getting better" or "you haters go too far".

It's still true that his back to back ** matches without heat do not a push warrant.

I don't think Orton has supporters here. It's just the Orton haters are annoying. It's like the HHHaters have got bored and moved on to Orton.

So, basically there are Orton haters and the people who hate the Orton haters .

So what should we do?

Say "Golly gee, i don't really like that guy" once and then just sit and say nothing while an unover poor wrestler monopolizes the show?

I'm not at the point where I'm gonna get so angered by a guy being pushed that I do nothing but bring it up when I can, and I'm certainly not into internet trends, so I'm not gonna dwelve into how horrible or good he is. He's entertained me a lot, I like his look and to me that matters because there selling characters and part of that is look, and I like how he's moved along. He's never killed any kind of segment for me or ruined a match, and hell if I'm gonna get down on him for not doing anything in 5 minutes with Hurricane, then I'll get down on everyone. When he's had the chance match wise he's entertained me.

Considering this whole gigantic to the moon megapush is nothing more than marketing what you have faith in and using a guy as opposed to not using a guy, it's angering to see people on some Orton-hating mission that won't end until everyone on the forum has Orton sucks in there sig.

I just think the general timing and the way internet fans are and have come to be have made this thing 14 times more irritating then it ever should have been. When people say stupid shit about how over he is and how he has no wrestling ability, basically taking it to the convenient extreme, personally I have to speak on it. I certainly don't here his supporters exaggerating the other way, saying he's as over as RVD or he's had at least 4 ***3/4+ matches. Thats why I think saying his supporters are worse is simply ridiculous.

Let him be used and developed before you write him off, the way everything that happens in the WWE is judged before it even happens is getting annoying.

No. You're right. You should bitch about it. Again. And again. And again. And Again. Again. Again. And again. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. You should bring it into threads when there is no need to bring it up, too. That's always fun.

"monopolizes the show"? What a maroon.

bps, He's being used, it was a running angle through out the show that he was part of. I mean hell if thats a megapush, what is Foley getting considering it's all being built around his character up until this point? Is he being pushed to one of Pluto's moons?

It's this retarded mentality of hating a guy that you would otherwise simply be indifferent to, basically because your favorite isn't being used, or because it's a trend.

Get over it already.

Mind you, Foley also has the level of heat where you can justify him being all over a show. Which he really wasn't.

Why do you use a guy again? To get him over, to make him into something. Guys don't get over by having 7 minute Heat matches, they don't get better with experience by doing nothing. The whole idea that Randy shouldn't be used until he's 'this' over is ridiculous. He's not making people walk out, he's not making people turn the channel, and he's getting a reaction.

And bps, who knows what the payoff of the feud will be? Maybe after a brutal match with an indecisive finish, Randy will put Mick over and turn face in the process, going on to feud with Triple H who is disgusted by the situation. Thats certainly a likely situation. Hell maybe the payoff will end up being a tag match with Rock and Flair.

The assumption Randy will completely and totally be put over Foley in the future can't be used as a justification now.

Anyone I know who watches wrestling detests Orton. Two guys told me that they change the channel when he comes on.

Orton = X-Pac 2004

And how is it not working? He's not as over as you think this invisible megapush should make him? Well that makes sense considering there hasn't been any kind of megapush.

And I highly doubt you'd talk about him every chance you get if he wasn't over at all. Seems he's the biggest heel around here.

I can see the conversation...

"So you guys still watching Raw?"

"Yep..."

"That Orton guy, sure uh, sucks don't he?"

"Yeah, I hate him"

"I changed the channel when he's on"

"Yep"

"Yep"

*insert next segment of meaningless conversation soon to be used as a factual example of a general fanbase's opinion*

To an extent. when you've been pushing the guy for close to seven months and no one cares it's time to pull the plug.

That's news to me.

Well, people do care about the Orton-Foley feud. Also, weren't you saying the exact same thing about Brock Lesnar?

Didn't say monster. Said push.

I'm taking it from the day he returned and beat up the number one contender and top babyace, straight through feud with top babyface where he MEd Summerslam, to where he (while still heatless) defeated one of the top faces on the show on a PPV fairly clean and then totally clean on a Raw, to where he was the raw Iron man, to where he was on about 45 minutes of a two hour show this week.

Orton should be put totally over Foley. Why? Because that is the point of bringing back an old worker for a short stint: to put over the younger talent be it Orton or someone else. At least Foley is willing to put someone else over, even at his own expense, though too bad the same can't be said about Austin or any number of veterans.

Last night on RAW, Orton botched the RKO and everybody laughed at him.

According to Slapnuts!, Eddie Guerrero botched three moves at the Smackdown Taping (contains mild spoilers) Eddie actually screwed up a few spots. He was supposed to a headscicors to eliminate Haas but he didn't go over so he had to kind of throw him over after. He also landed ackwardly on Rikishi with a frog splash like his knees going into Kish's face. Ouch. There was also a spot with Eddie and Angle both teasing going over the top and they nearly did, Eddy was this close to slipping off to the floor and one of the ref's RUSHED over and gave him a little lift back up. Woops!

Now, will anyone talk about how inept Eddie is, especially after bungling THREE moves in ONE match? No way. Eddie Guerrero, for reasons that elude me won't be judged by the same principles as Randy Orton. And keep in mind, too -- Eddie G is a veteran and Orton is still green. Shouldn't a veteran be censured more than a rookie who is prone to making mistakes? No, because the IWC has a selective memory, and it's a blatant representation of how we unequally judge wrestlers.

You must really like Orton man cause this is a pretty simple one to understand. Here is my advice. Go and get the tape(if you don't already have it) of the Halloween Havoc 97 match between Eddie and Rey. Orton could only dream of putting on a match like this......with ANYBODY. Keep in mind this is only ONE example of Eddie's stellar work in the past. Give me one of Orton's that remotely stacks up to this, and I'll agree with you.

Oh don't be fucking ridiculous. How the hell can you compare a match between two cruiserweights to a match of Randy Orton's?

Also, how long has Orton really been wrestling full-time in WWE? Even a year? The guy doesn't have half the experience Eddie had by the time he took on Rey Rey at Halloween Havoc '97, nevermind also being a completely different wrestler.

That comparison is idiotic and wrong. I agree, Orton isn't exactly looking like the next Bret Hart right now, but I remember Rocky Maivia's first year being pretty crap-tastic as well. At least give the guy time to evolve.

No pun intended.

That's what you said about Lesnar, AS.

Plus, it IS working. His reactions are improving, only the most delusional would deny it. His in ring stuff is getting more and intense. I used to think he was bland, now I'm a FAN of Randy. Besides, Mick's angle with him, is just revving up and I want to see the ending of it. So far it's been really cool stuff.
