Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Can you attribue the increased buzz around wrestling and increased interest in the shows in any way to the fact we have a lot less of the McMahon clan on the shows? Or is it becuase generally things pick up this time of year due to the Rumble and Mania? I don't like to re-hash old arguments, but is this the best evidence yet to support the 'WWE McMahon Free' campaign?
Guest Choken One Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Not really because Buzz has gone up with the McMahons active, it's usually very buzzed around this time of the year since The Rumble really is the kickoff to Mania and since WWE has already started building some nice programs and they haven't done anything offensive or stupid...
RavishingRickRudo Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 No, that would be WM XX - and I assume you mean on the board, rather than with the majority of the fans as attendance is still down.
razazteca Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 The stupid publicity stunts almost always causes bad press. Generally less McMahon clan is a good thing but really its no differnt on RAW now that they have 2 or 3 non-wrestling characters doing what Vince and family used to do.
Steviekick Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 I think the increased buzz is caused by a combination of the fact that that its Wrestlemania season and they have good angles being run. Same thing with real pro sports. Once the playoffs begin and when they have really good matchups/rivals, people take better notice to what's going on.
