First image from Mortal Kombat Deception!

Recommended Posts

News is being reported in several magazines, however it is all just regurgitation.

Apparently, in the latest magazine article on MK:Deception, Sindel is pictured in her new attire whilst facing Mileena. No news, as of yet, where to obtain this picture.

This is good stuff.

I can't wait for it... presently playing Deadly Alliance for one of the first times... beaten it with Raiden, Sub Zero, Scorpion, Kung Lao, Kenshi and Sonja

Unlocked most of the Konquests... although some of themare extreme bitches... mostly the combos

We need more news. They had this steady flow of news and now it's just stopped. They should show a pic of Kabal or something. I want storyline details.

I'm digging the new Ermac look, at least the MK crew made an effort to make him look more original a bit with his outfit this time.

Ermac... I know he was mentioned in it... but was there a storyline reason why he wasn't in MK:DA? I know he meets up with Kenshi and shit...

Anyway... I need to complete some kombos with Frost and Cyrax to continue the Konquest... What's the Ultimate Konquest like?

There is no reason he isn't in DA as a playable character. Kenshi saved him and he just ran off. Probably in hiding or something.

There is no ultimate or final Konquest. You just finish it for every character and it's over.

When over the Main Screen with the Konquest... doesn't it say play as characters to unlock the ultimate konquest...

(not sure of exact words, don't have the game)

Anyway... I believe you when you say it's not there. I just wasn't sure.

I think I know what you're talking about.

Maybe it's talking about the two hidden characters you get for finishing the mode.

If you're talking about Blaze and Mokap... you unlock them in the Krypt... right?

No, you unlock them by beating Konquest.

A lot of people say you have to unlock their bios in the Krypt but they're wrong. All you need to do is finish Konquest.

Well I guess I better go to my buddies and finish up them bloody combos...

(I unlocked Blaze in the krypt, well the bio... I was wondering why it didn't say character unlocked.)

I think they're ok. Better than some of the lame hiddens in the past games, like Noob and Ermac.

Mokap is pretty funny and a worthy tribute to Carlos Pesina.

Blaze is an awesome reference to MK II.

Just two questions.

Who's Carlos Pesina?

And how is Blaze a reference to MK 2?

Blaze apparently was the guy in the background running around on fire... not sure of the storyline at the moment, but I think that's it.

As for Noob Saibot... he was probably my favorite character in MK Trilogy, maybe behind Raiden.

As mentioned earlier, the firey figure on the Pit stage in Mortal Kombat II has been rumoured to be a secret character for years - Blaze is a tribute to this, much like Ermac, he was more of a creation of the fans than anyone else.

Carlos Pesina, as far as I know, is the martial artist that did the motion captures (hence the name Mokap) for MK:DAlliance.

Yeah, Blaze is the guy on fire from The Pit II.

Not only was Carlos the mocap guy for MKDA he played Raiden in the old 2D games. He's been around since MK1.

See, I think that has to do with people being young and ignorant. I don't know. Maybe it's just me? I always just assumed the guy in the backround on fire was in the process of having a Fatality performed on him. Oh well, another character came from it. No harm done, right?

I never really believed in all the rumors and myths either.

Both the guy on fire and the guy he's facing are based on Liu Kang's sprite. I always just figured it was decoration, like the Shadow Priests in the Tower and Portal and the guy impaled in the Living Forest.

It's not official but "Hornbuckle" is the fan made name for the guy he's fighting.

Some bizarre news....

A German magazine has a DVD preview of the game that seems to be really rough and early footage. Some of it even uses models from MKDA as place holder art. Quan Chi fights Scorpion in the footage, but is taken directly from MKDA so it may not mean he is in Deception.

And aother German magazine has a bunch of new info that Midway is saying isn't 100% accurate. They're reporting Tanya, Smoke and the spirit of Liu Kang return along with new characters named Dairou and Skab, a female replacement for Kano and....Ken Masters!?

Tanya returning? Liu Kang's ghost? Ken from SF II? Crazy. I can't wait to find out how much of this, if any, is true.

Mortalkombatonline.com has the details....

TANYA!? God, I hope not.

It was only so long before someone laid down their guns and said 'let's do Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter', but I don't see MK:Deception as being, obviously.

Interesting none the less.

Ken Masters being in is surely false. Some are saying it's a mistranslation and they're actually talking about someone new named "Ben".

In PSM Ed Boon jokingly said Ken would be in.....but he also said the Easter Bunny would be in.

I was always a Smoke fan, can't wait for him to return (hopefully).

I don't know, but some Easter Bunny fatalities could be pretty fucking awesome.

UYI

*Imagines a fatality where the Easter Bunny shoves 40 easter eggs down Shang Tsung's throat.

Hell yeah they would be awesome.

The new Gameinformer confirms that most, if not all, of that info is true. They even specifically mention Tanya.

The female member of Kano's clan is named Kira.

Ken was a mistranslation. It's actually a new guy named Ben.

Liu Kang returns....as both as spirit and a zombie...

With all this new info we know close to the entire default roster now.
