Guest nikowwf Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Thank you god. We were a few days away from The Yakuza vs. The Crappy Dancing Morons on PPV. Now he can go to TNA and become a challenger for the world title. niko
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Unless Scott Norton was beating the piss out of him I never cared for the guy. Vince has no doubt done some great things in the business, but he should have known Miller would have never gotten over in this day and age with that gimmick
Guest Deviant Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I wonder what made Vince give up on Cat-Bo. Perhaps Vince was discussing WMXX booking plans during a Cat segment. The entire crowd naturally overheard every word all the way from backstage due to the complete silence in the building, and leaked it onto the net. I'd put my money on that. Meanwhile, if we're releasing guys who bore the crowd to death, I'm sure TSM could come up with a list of 20 more guys ready for their pink slip.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Unless Scott Norton was beating the piss out of him I never cared for the guy. They could have done the same thing on velocity using A-Train with Rhyno telling him that Cat's talking trash.

notJames 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Well, looks like the wCw Spring Cleaning has started. No big loss. Cat was useless. And seriously, Kanyon was kinda boring. I'm not sad that he's gone. So whatever former Ted Turnerites will follow? I'm hoping DeMott finds the exit soon. And he can take Jindrak and O'Haire with him. And if it's not too much to ask, they can bag up Cade and put him with the rest of the trash.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Hmmm..........let's get rid of wrestlers that are already established and know how to work a decent match(Kanyon) and bring up green morons that can't wrestle their way out of a paper bag. That's just super. Now if Kanyon is the ony talented one they release and they keep getting rid of talentless hacks like Gowen and Miller then I'll be happy. What I find funny is that there were reports that Gowen was getting a big head and that he thought he was better than everyone because of his position when he was brought in and then.....WHAM! he's gone. Serves your right you little shit.

EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Norton should have been the leader of the B-Team, Why would he have taken orders from Stevie Ray? Simple because Stevie Ray had the POWER OF THE SLAPJACK SUCKA!!

EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 However, Lita escaped so far... Because unlike the others that have been let go Lita is very popular with fans. She also has tits and ass. Well that is true I think it goes beyond just Lita having tits and ass. I mean she's booked, more or less, as a strong independant woman. She has "cool" moves and she wrestles matches and wins title, she's more then just eye candy. Unlike the Stacy and the ladies on SD who are eye candy and nothing more. And have you notice that when Lita or Trish wrestle the fans chant their names. When eye candy like Stacy or Torrie are in the ring the fans chant for puppies. Guest Loss Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Lita is *not* a good worker, but the one reason she and the Hardyz have managed to stay employed (well, in Jeff's case, at least for a time) in situations where others would be fired is that the perception is that they draw in a teenage female audience. There's probably some truth in that, but I think they missed the boat on Lita, as 2000 was the year for her to become a role model and instead, she just became another diva. As for Miller, he could have been meaningful at one point early in the inVasion had they kept him out of the ring. A war of the words with Regal may have been good stuff. But now, he's simply too far removed to be an asset and he doesn't have the talent to re-establish himself.

I did not say Lita was a good worker I said she had "cool" moves, at least to the marks. The way she and the other women on RAW, cept for Stacy and Jackie, are booked put her higher then just another diva.

I know, and you are right that her perception is that of a daredevil highspot artist, which can be mainly attributed to the way she has been marketed and her own agility, even if she's clumsy at times. We could do an entire thread on the way women are treated in WWE. It would probably be quite interesting.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 As of 3:03pm on 2/12/04, Ernest Miller's bio still appears on Smackdown's website while Kanyon's has been removed.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 From PWInsider.com To follow up on the Ernest Miller-release story, from what I was told he was informed he was being let go on Tuesday afternoon after the weekly meetings. There was a feeling among many in the company that he just didn?t want to work to improve his in-ring work, which everyone in the company that I spoke with felt was lacking. Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 From PWTorch -Ernest "The Cat" Miller has been released by WWE, but his sidekick Lamont is staying. WWE is high on his character's potential. Lamont was performing for Ohio Valley Wrestling before being brought in as Cat's sidekick.

Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2004 Good, no more stupid Cat dance segments wasting time in Smackdown. I liked the Cat in WCW, but he was just a monumental waste of time in the WWE, the only memorable thing i can think of him doing was his complete non-reaction during the Rumble match.
