I really really really hope to go, but that all depends on my money situation.

The Eagles won't be there; but that would be SO good if they were.

String Cheese

Dark Star

Ben Harper

Moe

The Dead

They will probably be there, and I'd love it so much if Strangefolk was there. I doubt they will though. :(

Good choices Mole. With Dark Star and the Dead...itd be like seeing a Grateful Dead show two days in a row. :D

Yea, I doubt the Eagles will end up playing, but its a better chance than my other choice of Buffalo Springfield. At least the Eagles have been touring lately; Buffalo Springfield hasnt played together since 69 and would require the oft-rumored Stills/Young/etc reunion rumors to finally actually happen.

I've seen Strangefolk a few times and really enjoyed them. Didn't know they were still around though.

I'd be pushing for anything involving Warren Haynes so Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule, Phil Lesh & Friends and The Dead would all be great.

Also I'm down with all the bands mentioned, but would add The Disco Biscuits, Jack Johnson, Widespread, Leftover Salmon and P Funk (for the fun of it).

I've wanted to go to this thing for the past couple of years now, living in Nashville just a stone's throw away and all, but have just never gotten around to it. A warning to straight-edge types: from what some people have told me, this event tends to be so drug-laden it makes Woodstock look like a rehab clinic.

Yes, that is a great list. I haven't heard of half of the bands though.

Ugh, I don't really like Dave though. MSNBC's headlines on the bottom of the channel said that Dylan, Nelson and Dave are headlining the festival. I'd think that The Dead is headlining it along with Trey.

But those three are the more "mainstream" so they get the credit.

I am surprised that Maroon5 will be there.

Time to start saving up some money.

Which dont you know?...I might be able to explain a lil :)

Its a crazy lineup...They listed Dylan/Dave/Willie as headliners, you list Trey/Dead, and I would also add Primus and David Byrne. Thats in a 3 day event - 2 headliners each night, and theres like 60 other bands. :D

By the way, Bonnaroo.com seems to be listing The Dead as the main headliner, ahead of Dylan and Dave Matthews.

sorry to bring this back from the dead...but as my friend just now put it...

"i'm gonna go down there and trip my balls off the whole time"

...he's such a fucking moron. Not for this, really...more overall.

Some people love it, I have no idea why. I tripped once and hated it, so I will never again.

One of my favorite things about going to shows is just seeing the people all fucked up.

The Mule is the best thing going right now in music and put on one hell of a good show. With Warren in the Dead now, I think that they'll bring it too.

Leftover Salmon is a very fun live act. I've seen them a couple of times and really had a blast. "Wake and Bake" & "Pasta on the Mountain" are two of my favorite live songs.

Snuff, we gotta meet up while we are down there. I haven't gotten my ticket yet, but I will by mid-April.

I'm looking forward too:

Trey

String Cheese

The Dead

Bob Dylan

Willie Nelson

moe

Gov't Mule

Primus

I'll go see Dave and Ani, even though I don't really like them.

And, is Maroon 5 the same Maroon 5 we hear on the radio all the time? If so, they don't seem like a band that would be at a Jam Band festival.

Yes they are. Kings of Leon are there as well....much more alt-rock than jamband.

Mole, if we can meet up amidst the 90000 other peoples, that would be cool.

Ten bucks says when I go to get mine, it sold out an hour before hand.

I hope someone from my town will sell there ticket at the last minute for like $70.

I paid 185 as well...

Ebay 'n shit will probably be even more expensive/not guranteed...

and I think this thing sells out every year...
