This is a message board, its for people to express their opinions in a clear, logical and readable way. Therefore its safe to say everyone who is reading cares, to some extent. I think your reference to the "idiot button" is due to the fact your social worker made you a special keyboard with whole words on to make it easier for you. IMHO, the Angle thread walked the line of belonging in HD once it went off topic. Maybe if when a thread began to get off topic you closed it (and in this case allowed AS to restart it if he wished), then it would set an example.

 

In the Angle after WMXX thread, Bionic Redneck deserves a warning for flaming without adding anything new. In the Lamont thread, Bionic Redneck deserved a warning for the same thing as before. Choken One was bantering, and didn't mean it in any harm, so I'd say it was okay.

The Lamont thread answered the question of who he actually was and then branched out from there. Loss mentioned alot of things in the thread but he saddened me by not mentioning my ideas for how they could make a Sanford and Son type of thing or WWEes Company *frown*

 

In the Angle Thread I feel both Bionic Redneck and Besus are to blame. Bionic just blatantly starts shit to start shit and Besus from what I've seen contradicts everybody for the sole purpose of pissing them off as he can not back up his ideas intelligently. I wouldn't close the thread, I would however remove those two from it. Weed out the idiots, not the threads with actual purpose.

 

IF I were you I'd send them both warnings stating to cut off the bullshit or they recieve strike one and if they want to insult people take it to HardCore Discussion where it belongs. Then post a message in the Angle thread stating the two have been warned and to get back on topic before other warnings are issued because tossing insults back in forth isn't what the WWE folder is about.

Edit: I agree about the bantering thing about Choken One. You can tell when somebody is fucking around and when they're tossing shit back and forth.

 

Edit Part 2: Yes that thread should be moved to polls and lists as it doesn't have anything to do with current WWE on-goings.

IMHO, Besus's contradicting everybody else isn't a problem, but when he wears it as a badge to wind up those who disagree with him it's a problem. He wasn't the problem in the Angle thread though. People started with him when there was no need to.

You might also want to mention to Besus that contradicting people here isn't against the law as everybody has different opinions, but there's a difference between disagreeing with somebody because you have a different point of view and then disagreeing with somebody in order to lure them into a verbal confrontation. Usually the two can be seperated on how much the person is able to back-up their arguement. A thorough reason behind how you feel with certain facts and what have you is good, saying "Look, you're an Idiot. Triple-H is the man just because he is." would be luring somebody into a verbal confrontation.

I think that giving somebody a private warning first is a good idea (otherwise the thread will disolve into people taking the piss at them for getting warned, and to stop others winding them up to get them banned), but if they continue it should be made public. That way people know what type of stuff is deserving of a warning. Make an example of them, I tells ya!

 

When the WWE rules are finalised, it might also be a good idea to have a pinned topic like this one showing the type of things mods are looking out for.Good and bad threads/posts etc.

Actually, my standards are high for what the thread should be and when people start hurling insults in the middle of a topic, that's basically hijacking a thread and taking it down, and it's also flaming outside of HD. Maybe not harsh flaming, but there's no place for it nonetheless.

 

There was no warning issued because I'm just trying to analyze the folder right now, but next time something similar happens, there will be.
