I swear, at the top of the WWE Folder, they should post a link to the definition of Opinion. If people read the definition, maybe some rabid-flamers would settle down. Maybe I'm just hoping though. And for the record I am stubborn and I turn everything into a competition. I hate losing. I can misconstrue being passed on the highway as losing. And I do like to have the last word. And it's more subconcious than anything. I'll do it and in the aftermath when the bodies are strewn about I'll say "Oh damn......I did it again." This is the behavior you need to change. This isn't a competition, and no one is "winning" or "losing." This is an internet messageboard. Recognize that a stranger calling you a name on the internet is precisely that: a stranger calling you a name on the internet. What possible reason is there to attach any validity to what they say? Why get so wrapped up in the fact that someone you've never met disagrees with your opinion about a worked "sport?" It's all about having some perspective. If you can gain some, we'll be fine. How strictly should flaming or trolling be prohibited? Should it be loose interpretation of the rules or very strict? I see *A LOT* of "You're an idiot/You're a moron/You're just a bitter smark/You wouldn't be saying this if it were Benoit/HHH/Jericho/HBK/Eddy/Angle"-type stuff and it leads to hostility and going off topic to argue the posters instead of arguing the point. If someone specifically throws an insult, however minor, at someone, and it ends up steering a thread away from its original purpose, should the mods step in or just let it play out? Luckily, on WWE tv, Guerrero is getting a good push, so the WWE folder seems to be looking up (like WWE booking is). More and more discussions are arising about future programs and things of that nature. It's so hard to keep track of every poster and feud, because there are so many personalities on this board, and each one is unique, and there are always going to be radicals or flame baiters, etc. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Saying "it's my OPINION" does not mean your post(s) can't be challenged or criticized, yet you (and anyone else who says it) seem to think it does. The definition of opinion is "a belief held without proof." This means opinions can be wrong if proof is provided to oppose them. and I get "verbally assaulted" (God I sound like a puss) by some people on this board. I'm not going to name names, but rather, I'd just like to emphasize on how hard it is to post a message without someone jumping down your throat. Are they "jumping down your throat", or just challenging your opinion? Because someone simply challenging or criticizing your opinion doesn't automatically equal them jumping down your throat. If you state an opinion, everyone has the right to challenge it, unless you can provide proof to support it. I don't know for certain, but you seem to think all you have to say is "OPINION" and that's it. Straight up calling someone a moron, ass, or just saying "fuck you" or "your opinion is stupid" just because you do not agree with their opinion should = against the rules. Responding to someone who you do not agree with and actually starting a conversation and challenging their opinion should = perfectly fine.
