Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I saw this topic over at WCMB, and thought I'd start it here just for the heck of it. Do you even think it means anything at all? Perhaps saying that someone is returning from the past, or could it actually mean that they really are planning on starting something new come WM XX. I mean, with it being possible that the big should could end with both Benoit and Eddy being world champs, could this mean that they are actually ready to give some of the guys actual shots, once and for all? You know, a true "new era" in WWE. More than likely not, but what the heck. I figured I'd see what all of you think of that tag, since I haven't really seen it discussed on here yet. Yeah, it's just a marketing ploy to sound cool more than likely with nothing behind it, but it's worth talking about I guess. Sincerely, ...Downhome... Markme123 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I like it because it reminds me of the old WM subtitles like: Wrestlemania 2: What the World is Coming To WrestleMania III: Bigger, Better, Badder WrestleMania IV: What the World is Watching ect.

WMXX3 will likely be in Detroit at Ford Field.. Three Venue Mania 1 - RAW - Nassau Colliseum 2 - Smackdown - Allstate Areana 3 - The ECW Thing - some random Bingo Hall And will Vince make as big of a deal for WM XXV (25) as he has with this? It won't get the MSG treatment but I would think that the Silver Anniversary show would be bigger than XX.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 13, 2004 Here's another unrelated question (sorta)... Most mania's always have a special Venue 1-MSG 2-Three venues in three biggest towns 3-Silverdome 4/5-Trump Plaza 6-sKYDOME 7-L.A Colieseum (planned) but because of "threats" moved to LA Sports arena 8-RCA Dome 9-Custom Made Ceasar's Palace 10-MSG 11-Hartford Civic Center... Yeah, that one just doesn't fucking fit with those GRAND locations...Did they do that because they LITERALLY couldn't get a worthwhile venue or anything? With L.T being there, NYC seemed natural if not MSG again, Long Island or Jersey would have worked...or did they want to do it in their "back-yard"... Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted February 13, 2004 AKA...Too damn pathetic to get a worthwhile venue to host it. Thats the logical answer when you look at what they booked for the show. LT in a SINGLES MATCH Main Event vs. MID CARDER Bam Bam Bigelow?! The Blu Brothers?! King Kong Bundy vs. Undertaker? Bob Backlund vs. Bret Hart in a match that can't touch SSeries 94. A very weak tag Title match on paper. And to top it, off the CELEBRITY GUEST SINGER OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM......a retard. (shakes head in shame)
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted February 13, 2004 Wasn't WM VII moved to a smaller venue because of poor ticket sales... er, I mean a bomb threat against Sgt. Slaughter?
Guest JRE Report post Posted February 13, 2004 It's almost like, presentation wise, at least....Wrestlemania slumped a bit after 10. Of course, 11 was horrible all around....but 12-16 all had basic arenas as venues. Then 17, 18, and 19 got all cool. Sure, it was probably more about attendence and money and stuff- but I think I'll put the blame on Russo, that bastard not making Wrestlemania look cool....that bastard. Markme123 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2004 I don't know but I liked WM15's metallic entrance. I hope they keep MSG like WM10. Have a small entrance (not like RAW at MSG) and the house lit up (unlike when SD! uses blue lights on the audiance). And I thought WM18's tag was "Icon vs Icon"...
