Surprisingly solid team thanks to a great rebound last night draft wise. Good mix of AL/NL teams although no real superstars but solid up and down.

2003 OBP: .369

2003 ERA: 3.40

Unless I have an injury in Spring Training I'm not going to actively pursue any trades until after the season starts. But if anyone wants to make me an offer be my guest.

I'd like to get better at second, but really there aren't a lot of choices this year.

Now that we've gotten our problem with Clemens settled, the league is unlocked.

Edit:

Just thought of something, but should I increase the pitching roster by one?

eh, generally changing rosters after the draft causes problems

A lot of us will cycle starters in and out, so it won't make a difference.

*shrugs* Ok.

Don't see what else I could improve on besides relief pitching. If anyone would like to send a relief pitcher my way, I might send you one of my eight to nine starters or however many I've got.

No need to add positions after the draft.

It was in light of Tom's using it, and frankly the amount of people with Pitchers just doing squat that I asked about it.

And the reason why I bring this up in here, is because I was told that I had 3 and had done so when everyone said no (in Al's thread, which needs to be pinned). I'm correcting that fact.

And to think Guerreros...

I was actually thinking of making a trade for you, for him.

I was going to give you two guys who could produce and hopefully get a relief guy and him from you. As well as probably do that Chacon for R. Ortiz.

You lucked out apparently.

Whoever has Jerry Hairston should know he has a broken ring finger that will need surgery (happened when he stole 3rd in the first minor league game today vs the Marlins). Don't know how long hes out but from what I've heard its a 6-8 weeks thing which would mean hed be out most of April.

I know I was listening to game today. Great win by the O's. I'm so disapointed (as an O's fan) because he showed how good he could be with the leadoff hit and 2 consecutive stolen bases but he fractured his finger. :( I guess Brian Roberts has the job for now.

Anyway, as for my fantasy team, I had Polanco as my starting 2nd anyway, and I dont want to drop Hairston because when he comes back I still have faith in him, so I'll wait until he's eligble for the DL.

Note to Self: Keep injury reports secret....

If you want to trade just send an offer and I shall consider it.

If nothing else i'll win in steals, there's only one or two teams that should even be close to me. I'll probably suck at everything else, so i'm holding onto any little victory i can get.

Smart move Al, I was debating between taking Johnson(for the same reason as you) and Konerko and ended up choosing Konerko because he's bound for a good rebound year and if he starts hot, I could always shop him around.

I was surprised to see Ryan Franklin still available the other day when I picked him up. I doubt he'll turn in another top 10 ERA performance like last year but his WHIP will be low and he should win 12 games at least.

I have to many ? at most positions. Im safe in the OF and 1/2 of my RP but thats about it.

I'm not surprised. A K rate of less than 4.5 per 9 innings, a mediocre K/BB rate, and being 31 (well, as of tomorrow) spells regression. Plus 34 HR in 212 IP (In SafeCo!) is a big red flag.

I looked at his splits. I saw the 34 HR (22 in Safeco) but Home Runs allowed isn't a stat and ERA/WHIP/Wins are ( 3.53/1.27/11). Plus, his stats were much better down the stretch, which is a good sign in most cases.
